Karunopanished A program about Baba Amte’s literary tradition

Baba Amte, the name coveys humanity, benevolence and compassion. His struggle to give rights to the leprosy patients in the society by starting Anandvan and Lokbiradari project for the tribal people has always been unparalleled. Though working continuously for such projects, Baba always had a mind of writer. He observed, noted and wrote all the enriching experiences life presented to him. This is his centenary year and to salute his literary treasure talented actress Sonali Kulkarni has produced a special program “Karunopanished” The show is produced under Sokul Productions and directed by Chandrakant Kale. The live event will take place at Lokbiradari Prakalp, Hemalkasa on 26 December at 9 pm to 10:30 pm.

The program will feature Sonali Kulkarni and Sachin Khedekar reading passages from books written by Baba Amte. The music has been given by Narendra Bhide and Anjali Marathi and Chandrakant Kale will be singing few select songs.

Sonali has recently acted in a film based on Dr. Prakash Baba Amte. During the making of this film, she made close interactions with the Amte family and hence she decided to produce this insightful show. The program will feature poems, books and other material written Baba Amte.
