Many a times we’ve seen an actor marrying another actor, but Zee Yuva’s Love Lagna Locha fame actress Akshaya Gurav recently got married to cinematographer Bhushan Wani.
Akshaya was previously seen in serials like Manasicha Chitrakaar Toh, Mehndichya Panavar & Ithe Velach Mahatvachi. Bhushan Wani who works as a Director of Photography has shot many important ad films & short films.

It’s good to see that now Marathi audiences too are welcoming married actor/actress unlike in the past when staying single used to be an essential thing for popular actors & actresses. Before becoming an actress Akshaya completed her education from Welingkar Institute of Management & later started working as a freelance actress & model. ‘Khulta Kali Khulena’ fame Mayuri Deshmukh aka ‘Manasi’ got married to actor/producer Ashutosh Bhakre a few months ago. The serial has currently taken in a leap of four years & both the lead characters are now presented in a new look.

The character of ‘Manasi’ has made a special place in the hearts of the Marathi audiences after all this time. And the love for the overall serial too hasn’t decreased one bit. Mayuri was previously seen in the highly acclaimed Marathi film ‘Dr. Prakash Baba Amte’.

She was also a part of a popular one-act play titled ‘June-July’. Mayuri had completed her graduation from Academy Of Theater Arts, Mumbai. We wish lots of happiness & good fortune to both Mayuri & Ashutosh on both personal & professional fronts of their lives.

The premier of Chi va Chi Sau Ka was a very glossy affair. The event was attended by many Marathi celebrities along with the cast and crew of the film. Mrinmayee Godbole was looking very glamorous in her stylish dress. Lalit was as usual very handsome in his casuals. The event was also attended by Paresh Mokashi and Madhugandha Kulkarni- director and writer of the film.

The film has been receiving great reviews from the critics and audience has loved the film. The film is a love story of a eco-conservationist and an animal lover. The great story, beautiful performances and witty dialogues have made a film big hit.

A few years back Zee Marathi’s prestigious award ‘Zee Gaurav’ got split into ‘Zee Chitra Gaurav’ & Zee Natya Gaurav’. Hence we are now enjoying exclusive celebrations of Marathi Cinema & Marathi Theatre respectively. 

This year’s Zee Chitra Gaurav truly celebrated & honored the best of Marathi Cinema. Sairat as expectedly got the most awards in total 8, but unlike other awards Zee Natya Gaurav also honoured other great works of the year. Pushkar Shrotri’s upcoming production ‘Ubuntu’, Sunil Sukthankar-Sumitra Bhave directorial ‘Kaasav’ & Samit Kakkad’s ‘Half Ticket’ also won major awards. 

Artists like Prajakta Mali, Shruti Marathe, Vaibhav Tatwawadi, Rasika Sunil, Sonali Kulkarni, Prarthana Behere & Vaidehi Parshurami performed on the prestigious Zee Gaurav stage! Alongside them Abhinay Berde gave a tribute to his father & our beloved superstar Laxmikant Berde. Lakshya’s heroines Varsha Usgaonkar, Kishori Shahane, Kishori Ambiye & Nivedita Saraf. Veteran filmmaker & actor Mahesh Kothare also joined Abhinay in this special tribute to ‘Lakshya’.

Last but not the least the most memorable moment of the evening was when the lifetime achievement award was given to senior Marathi-Hindi actress Seema Deo. Another living legend of Marathi Cinema gave this prestigious award to Seema Dev. Seema Dev has worked in unforgettable films like ‘Jagachya Pathivar’, ‘Pathlag’, ‘Anand’ & many more in the period of more than 4 decades. 

This year’s Zee Chitra Gaurav ceremony was hosted by the effortlessly funny Sumit Raghvan & Priyadarshan Jadhav & you can watch it on 26th March, Sunday at 7 pm only on Zee Marathi & Zee Marathi HD.
