Ashutosh Gowarikar, man behind Oscar Nominated Lagaan and magnum opus Jodha Akbar adviced newcomers to get complete knowledge about film making before entering in this industry. He was speaking at a discussion panel organised by Cine Cultural Cetre of Dr. V Shantara Motion Picture Trust.
He also added that reading about various subjects, knowledge about film industry and focus towards your goal are very important for success. Gowarikar also suggested that a proper film school training will give you better understanding of the films.
Gowarikar also shared his journey as a director. He told some anecdotes about Lagaan Swades and Jodha Akbar and some funny incidents from the sets of Hrithik Roshan starrer Mohenjo Daro (which is currently under production)
