Ghanta Marathi Movie Review :

Ghantaa belongs to a genre that hardly has a history in Marathi, but has many examples in Bollywood & of course Hollywood. The most direct comparison could be well made with Aamir Khan’s Delhi Belly. Though the basic plot is common in these two films there is one significant difference. The three leads in Delhi Belly have a darker, realistic edge to them whereas here Raj (Amey), Umesh (Saksham) & Angad (Aroha) are cardboard cut outs. Though this is situational crime comedy, you still need interesting lead characters.

The actors though succeed in doing their jobs. The rest of the cast that has Pushkar Shrotri & Kishore Kadam as leaders of two gangs (one of which is political) are fabulous as always. The character of Murli Sharma needs a special mention. He has been established pretty well & brings in the essential unpredictability in this “Hira Kahan Hain” mystery. Though it could have been more justified if they had used him efficiently in the climax. Another stock character will stay memorable is that of a simple secretary (Pushkar’s) who is not bothered about the conflict at all instead he simply wants to go home early.

Ghanta is directed by a first timer, who has no background of this industry & deserves a lot of credit because he has genuinely made the film he wanted to make. Because there is nothing in the film that has been forcibly added to please any specific lot of audience. But throughout the film his inexperience is evident. Still it will be exciting to see what he comes up with when he brings his second film.

Visually Ghanta experiments a little too much & unnecessarily, the same applies to the omnipresent background score. However there’s a unique exception in a deliberately pretentious (& satirical) sad romantic song titled “Unbreakable” voiced by Hariharan. It works well in this setting. We would have actually loved a similar approach to the lives of these three characters especially in the first half.

The fate of Ghanta (in terms of box office) depends on those huge numbers of Amey Wagh fans. Importantly these fans also somewhat represent the new target audience of popular Marathi Cinema. The right amount of hype has been created by the Ghanta team. And if they watch Ghanta they’ll definitely enjoy it.

Overall:

Ghantaa is enjoyable & definitely worth a watch, the errors are there but they won’t hit you on the face. If you belong to a certain section of young audience who are still aloof from Marathi Cinema Ghantaa is worth to start with!

Ghanta Trailer promises a laugh riot

Ghanta is getting ready for 14 October release. The recently released trailer of this film promises us a good film with some great performances. This black comedy is directed by Shailesh Kale.

The film is about three youngsters who dreams to make it big in their life. How the situations change and their life bring some new twists and turns will be seen in this film. Out of the three youngsters one wants to become a famous dubbing artiste, another is an idiot and third is a charmer. However, a certain decision by these three friends goes wrong and they end up in the hands of two rival gans. What happens next- will see it on the big screen. The film stars Dil Dosti Duniyadari’s Kaivaly – Amey Wagh along with Aroh Welankar and Saksham Kulkarni in the lead roles. Pushkar Shrotri and Kishor Kadam also play important role in this film.

The music launch of Ghanta with Ghanta Toast

The makers of the film Ghanta recently released the music in an innovative event. Ghanta Toast (similar like Comedy Roast) was done with the three heroes of this film by Mahesh Manjrekar, Jitendra Joshi.

Amey Wagh, Saksham Kulkarni and Aroh Welankar and Amruta Khanvilkar were present for this Ghanta Toast. The event was hosted by Pushkar Shrotri, who is playing an important role in this film.

Ghanta has been using different techniques for the promotions including live motion poster and live chats on the social media. The film has been directed by Shailesh Kale. The film is produced by Dashami Creation, Brahmapura Pictures and Yellow Incorporation. Dashami has earlier given hit serials like Durva, Majhe Man Tujhe Jhale and Pasant Aahe Mulgi. The film is written by Sumit Bonkar and Rahul Yashod.

The film will be releasing on 14 October.

Amey, Saksham and Aroh in Ghanta – Official Teaser

Ghanta– a film starring Amey Wagh, Saksham Kulkarni and Aroh Welankar has released its teaser. The teaser promises us a complete entertainment with the hint of black comedy. The film is direceted by Shailesh Kale and will be releasing on 14 October.

The film also stars Pushkar Shrotri and Kishor Kadam in leading roles. The teaser shows three young boys and how they find themselves in difficult situations. The film has all the elements like love, lust, action, thriller, chase to give us a complete entertainment package. Amey Wagh, who rose on popularity charts with his role as “Kaivaly” is Zee Marathi’s serial Dil Dosti Duniyadari will be seen as not so good boy in this film. Saksham who is currently seen in Zee Yuva’s Love Lagn aani Lochya is also playing an important part in this film. Aroh was seen in critically acclaimed “Rege”.

Thanks to the memorable performances of prominent actors such as Bharat Jadhav, Siddharth Jadhav, Smita Shewale, Mrunmayee Deshpande, Sayaji Shinde, Ketki Dave, Anand Abhyankar, Mugdha Shah, Vinay Apte, Meghna Vaidya, Uday Tikekar, Asavari Joshi, Ashwini Apte, Jaywant Wadkar, Kishore Pradhan, Viju Khote etc. the film become more entertaining and interesting.

Earlier we have watched in many films the chaos that happens due to the double role or when two people with similar looks come face to face. But in Dhamdhoom we will get to watch what kind hilarious confusion can take place when many people share the same name. It is easier to portray the confusion created by the similar looking individuals but essaying the commotion created by many people sharing the same name is a bit challenging and director Devendra Pem has won the challenge successfully. The story of Dhamdhoom revolves around a name (Madhu). It’s a story of a guy called Madhukar who loves a girl named ‘Madhu’ and he wants to get married to her. But Madhukar’s father is under the impression that Madhukar’s dream girl is a girl named Madhura and he starts considering Madhura as his future daughter in law. The entry of another guy called Madhur creates more confusion, interestingly the chaos is not only limited to the four youngsters but even their family gets involved into chaos which creates riotous situations and incidents. Misunderstandings between the four families take place due to the common name ‘Madhu’. The whole film which revolves around the theme of marriage will certainly make the audience fall in love with the film.

The songs in the films are penned by lyricist Guru Thakur and Music is composed by Avdhoot Gupte. Noted dance directors Umesh Jadhav and Rajesh Bidve have choreographed the dance sequences in the film. Raja Satankar has handled the Cinematography and Anand Diwan has edited the film. Ratnakant Jagtap is the executive producer of the film. Dhamdhoom which will keep the audience in splits for three hours is releasing on October 11^th. Audience will give the film a grand welcome for sure.

भरतचा ‘फेकमफाक’ लवकरच येत आहे तुम्हाला हसवायला !!

मराठी चित्रपटजगताचा ‘सुपरस्टार’ भरत जाधव हा ‘फेकमफाक’ हा आणखी एक नवा चित्रपट घेऊन जुलैमध्ये आपल्या भेटीस येतोय! ‘एमईएफएसी प्रॉडक्शन्स’ या निर्मिती संस्थेचा हा पहिलाच चित्रपट कॉमेडी थ्रिलर आहे, ‘ फेकमफाक’ या चित्रपटात भरतबरोबरच विजय चव्हाण आणि विजू खोटे ही गाजलेली विनोदी दुक्कल आहे. या तिघांच्या विनोदानं प्रेक्षक खळखळून तर हसतीलच; पण त्याचवेळी चित्रपटातील रहस्य आणि थरार उलगडूनदाखवताना कथेने घेतलेली वळणं बघून त्यांना एकापाठोपाठ एक धक्केही बसत राहतील.

दयानंद राजन या बॉलीवुड गाजवणार्‍या दिग्दर्शकाचे मराठी चित्रपटसृष्टीतील हे पदार्पण असून ‘फेकमफाकक’च्या दिग्दर्शनाबरोबरच लेखनाची जबाबदारीही त्यांनी सांभाळली आहे. हसते खेलते, अतीत, गिरफ्त, रातरानी आणि हसीनो का मेला हे दयानंद राजन यांनी दिग्दर्शित केलेले चित्रपट आजही रसिकांच्या स्मरणात आहेत. चित्रपटात एकूण चार गीते असून, सध्या गाजत असलेले ‘आयटम साँग’ मराठीतील वैशाली सामंतने गायलेलं आहे. शिवाय, बॉलीवुडमधील शान आणि साधना सरगम यांनी अन्य गीतांना स्वर देऊन या चित्रपटाच्या आकर्षणात भर घातली आहे.

भरत बलवली या उमद्या गायक कलावंतानं ‘फेकमफाक’च्या संगीत दिग्दर्शनाची जबाबदारी सांभाळली आहे. या चित्रपटात आपल्याला ज्येष्ठ कलावंत अमिताभ बच्चन यांचा आवाजही ऐकायला येतो! पण तो स्वर अर्थातच सुदेश भोसले यांचा आहे… त्यांनी या चित्रपटात अमिताभ यांच्याबरोबरच आणखी चार जणांचे आवाज आपल्याला ऐकवले आहेत.

‘फेकमफाक’ही गोपीनाथ देसाई या मस्ती, मजा, धमाल करणार्‍या गमत्या विक्रेत्याची कहाणी आहे. हातात काहीच नसताना, त्यातून काही तरी गमतीदार उभं करून दाखवणारा असा हा विक्रेता आहे. रोजच्या दैनंदिन वापरासाठी लागणार्‍या ग्राहकोपयोगी वस्तू विकणारा हा गोपी आपल्या परिसरात सर्वांचा आवडता आहे. गोपीचे वडील श्रीकांत देसाई हे गिरणी कामगार आहेत आणि आई सुलोचना व बहीण हेमा… असं हे चौघांचं प्रेमाच्या भावनांनी बांधलेलं कुटुंब आहे.

चित्रपटाची नायिका स्नेहा ही गोपीची प्रतिस्पर्धी! कारण ते दोघेही एकाच एजन्सीमध्ये ‘सेल्समन’ म्हणून काम करत असतात. स्नेहा ही घरातली लाडावलेली मुलगी आणि तिचं रोजच गोपीशी वाजत असतं! पण एका छोट्याशा मस्करीतून पुढे एक विदारक सत्य गोपीपुढे उभं ठाकतं आणि कहानी नया मोड लेती हैं..

येत्या जुलै मध्ये हा चित्रपट आपल्या भेटीस येत आहे.
