Salaam Pune will be felicitating Chanakya, a Marathi play directed by Manoj Joshi as a Best Play. Susat- another play directed by Prayadarshan Jadhav will also be given Salam Pune award in the same ceremony. The event will take place on 5 November at 4 pm at S M Joshi Hall. The chief guest for this event will be Vasantrao Purke, former state education minister and Pradeep Patil, Collector of Pune Municipal.
Along with these two plays, ten actors and performers will be awarded in this event including stand-up comedian Naveen Prabhakar, Famous dancer Dr. Pt. Nandkishor Kapote, Singer Mohan Bhandari, presenter and host Dr. Nilesh Sable, artiste Supriya Shinde. Ajit Babar will be awarded Pune Youth idol and Special awards will be given to Prashant Dhage and Sagar Bhagwat for their social services in various fields
