MICTA 2014 (Marathi International Cinema and Theatre Awards) announced their nominations for various categories. Rege and Astu have received 10 nominations each. Fandry and Lai Bhaari are also giving touch competition with 8 nominations each. Rege and Astu have bagged nomination in all the significant categories like Best Film, Director, Story, Screenplay and Dialogues. In the theatre category “Aamhe Sau Kumud Prabhakar Apte” and Mr and Mrs have received 7 nominations each. Lai Bhaari has already been announced as a “Best Popular film”.
The nominations were announced recently at Dr. Kashinath Ghanekar Hall at Thane recently. For this event, Mahesh Manjrekar, Nitesh Rane, Sudhakar Chavan, Chandrakant Kulkarni, Rahul Ranade were present. The nominations for theatre category were announced by Sunil Barve while Sachin Khedekar announced nominations for Films. The award ceremony will be held at London and Wales around November end.

Best Actor: Girish Kulkarni (Postcard), Dr. Mohan Agashe (astu), Alok Rajwade (Rama Madhav)
Best Actress : Ketaki Mategaonkar (Timepass), Iravati Harshe (Astu), Parn Pethe (Rama Madhav)
The Theatre Category:
Best Actor : Abhijeet Kelkar (Luka Chhupi), Chinmay Mandlekar (Mr. and Mrs) Mangesh Kadam (Gosht Tashee Gamateechee)
Best actress: Madhura Velankar (Mr and Mrs), Leena Bhagwat (Gosht Tashee Gamateechee), Prateeksha Lonkar (Amhee Sau Kumud Prabhakar Apte). Special Jury Award has been announced for Jhopala. Vyakti ani Valli will be awarded by Best revived Drama.
Other announced Awards are : Best set design: Pradeep Mulye (Amhee Sau Kumud Prabhakar Apte), Best Light Design : Bhooshan Desai (Mr. And Mrs), Music : MIthilesh Patankar (Amhee Sau Kumud Prabhakar Apte) and writer : Viren (Amhee Sau Kumud Prabhakar Apte)
During this announcement event, all the actors like Vaibhav Mangle, Siddharth Jadhav, Ketaki Mategaonkar, Dr. Mahesh Patwardhan sang their favorite songs. This was a present surprise for the audience.
