Marathi film industry has been experimental with new and different ideas. Marathi films are turning successful with positive response from even the audience. This industry has given us many talented artists so far. Upcoming Marathi film ‘Blanket’ is bringing another set of new generation artists to us. Recently, Nitin Manmohan said Lights-Camera-Action for the muhurat clap of ‘Blanket’ in Pune. This film is about relationship between a mother and her daughter. The story revolves around a six-year old girl, her emotional bonding with mother, and their life in poverty amidst large heaps of garbage.
Raj Gorade and Ashutosh Govindrao are directing the film being produced under the banner of Horizon Motion Pictures. Dr. Suresh Telang and Ashutosh Govindrao are the producers and Mukund Lokhande is co-producer. A new set of actors like Nandita Dhuri, Siddhi Telang, Atharv Bagewadi, Ashutosh Govindrao, Raj Gorade, Revati Limaye, Aishwarya Jadhav, and Aniket Barve will be seen in this film. Aniket Gaikwad, Raj Gorade, and Ashutosh Govindrao have written the story based on original concept of Raj Gorade. The shooting will commence from 12th of May this year.
