In the last few years we are seeing more & more singers, music composers from Bollywood entering into Marathi industry. The latest additions to this list are popular singers Jonita Gandhi & Ash King. They have sung a duet song for the upcoming Marathi film ‘Dry Day’. This marks their debut in Marathi.
‘Dry Day’ is produced by Sanjay Patil through the banner ‘Anand Sagar Productions’. The music of this film is composed by Ashwin Shrinivasan who has previously assisted Oscar winner A.R. Rehman. Ashwin Shrinivasan too is making his debut in Marathi. Jonita & Ash King’s duet song is titled ‘Gaar Gaar Kolshat Uthavi Hi Aag Kashi’ & the lyrics of this song are written by Jay Atre.
Directed by Pandurang Jadhav ‘Dry Day’ is set to release on 8th September all over Maharashtra. Jonita has previously sung blockbuster songs like ‘Mental Manadhil’ from ‘OK Kanmani’, ‘Gilheriya’ from ‘Dangal’ & from ‘Highway’ movie ‘Kahan Hu Mein’. While Ash King too has major hits like ‘Aayesha Suno Aayesha’, ‘Barish’ from ‘Half Girlfriend’ & ‘Alizeh’ from ‘Ae Dil Hein Mushkil’ to his name.
