Zee Yuva serials will be celebrating Ganesh Festivals this week as a part of their story line. Bun Maska, Freshers, Ithech Taka Tambu Shravanbal Rockstar and Yuvagiri will be celebrating the joyous festival of Bappa with complete fanfare.

Bun Maska serial will celebrate festival at Samutra’s home and Maitreyee (Shivani Rangole) will be seen wearing beautiful saree as a surprise for Saumitra.

In Ithech Taka Tambu, Kapil will search for the ancestral idol of Lord Ganesha and it will be very interesting.
IN Freshers serial, all the friends will be seen celebrating Ganesh festival at Dhaval’s home . In the girls hostel, Renuka will be worshiping Lord Ganesh in a different way.

Interestingly, in Shravan bal Rockstar, Neerav (playing role of Hrishikesh) has made a clay idol for the worship. The idol has made by the Neerav himself.

In Yuvagiri, Sneha Chavan and Apoorva Ranjhankar will be visiting historical Trishund Ganpati and Madrasi Ganpati. The duo will also share some interesting information about Bappa’s favourite Ukadeeche Modak.

The events will start from 5 September on Zee Yuva.

The title song of the serial Ithech Taka Tambu on the new GEC Zee Yuva has been released. Gandhar – the music director for films like Postcard and Avatarchi Goshta – has composed the title song. Shrirang Godbole has penned the lyrics to which voice has been given by Gandhar himself. Jaideep Vaidya, Ashish Kulkarni and Priyanka Barve have also lent their voice to the song.

The song is picturised on Shashank Ketkar and Madhura Deshpande who would be seen playing the characters Kapil Sathe and Gauri Mayekar. Apart from these two the serial has an eclectic bunch of characters that promise unbridled laughter.

The brand Zee is synonymous with providing entertainment to the whole country. Over the past 24 years of its flourishing existence, Zee has enthralled one and all with its content ranging from daily soaps to news channels to sports. But for the first time a TV channel in Marathi is being launched specially focused on the youth.

On the rain soaked evening of 3^rd August, the Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL) hosted a grand pre-launch party for its brand new General Entertainment Channel (GEC) – Zee Yuva. The channel’s first look was unveiled by Sharada Sunder, Executive Vice President, Cluster Head – Regional Channels and Bavesh Janavlekar, Business Head Zee Talkies & Zee Yuva. The evening was graced by the presence of the who’s who of Marathi Television and Film fraternity.

The event commenced with a spectacular human interactive AV which had the audience in awe. The AV traced the illustrious journey of ZEE over the years and also unveiled the launch if ZEE Yuva. The hosts for the event were the always energetic VaibhavTatwawadi and the composed and articulate Spruha Joshi. The two with their lively hosting were crucial in ensuring a smooth functioning of the event.

All the exciting shows on the upcoming channel were introduced to the audience along with its cast. The event also included live performance of title tracks of Bun Maska by Jasraj Joshi and of Freshers by Amitraj. The peppy performances certainly upped the spirits of the audience. The cast of Itech Taka Tamboo (ITT) then had the audience in splits with their live comedy skit.

The programmer Freshers is based on the life of teens who have just joined college and how they come of age in the new world. ShravanBal Rockstar is based onhatke aspirations of the youth and their parents.Bun Maska explores the world through the eyes of a lovestruck, bubbly and extrovert girl, while Love Lagna Locha is about a shy young boy in today’s world where outgoing nature is celebrated. ITT is about the journey of a guy from a superficial global world to a serene and beautiful locale.

The shows despite having youthful exuberance are still rooted in Indian culture and values. Exciting times are surely lie ahead for Marathi television.

It seems that Zee Yuva will be hosting fresh serials with fresh and light subjects. After amazing promos of Freshers and Bun Maska, the channel has presented another promo for its serial – Ithech Taka Tambu. The serial stars Shashank Ketkar in a leading role. The light comedy drama will showcase another aspect of acting of this talented actor

The content for the serial focuses on Gen Y, hence the shows are away from usual marriage and relationship kind of plots. Ithech Taaka Tamboo is based about a resort and the service staff of this resort. The resort manager will be played by Shashank Ketkar. Shashank became a household name with his last serial- Honaar Soon mee yaa gharachee. As the serial mainly focused on the women, most of the limelight was taken by leading lady Tejashree Pradhan. Though, Shashank is a fabulous actor, his portrayal of Shree was a bit monotonous in this serial.

However, the promo of Ithech Taka Tamboo brings a breeze of fresh air, as Shashank is seen in a much lighter mood. His leading lady will be played by Madhura Deshpande. The show will start on 22 August and will be broadcast from Monday to Friday at 9:30 pm.
