If sky is made of paper and the ocean is made of ink, the words cannot express the greatness of a mother but we can tell the story of a mother through a film which explores the relationship between a son and his mother. called ‘DOT COM MOM’ produced, directed and acted by Dr.Meena Nerurkar which after a mahurat quickly went on the floors in Palghar village Kelve. The mahurat of the film was attended by revered Appasaheb aka Prabhakar Patil and Mai Mrs.Pratibha Tai Patil, producers Santosh Raut, Nishant P Patil, Milind Choudhary, Bhushan Save, Vineet Patil, Vivek Phadke, Rajesh Jain, Rajesh Mehta, Rima Mahendra Keni, and Abhijeet P Patil.
The story of a mother and her son is unique and very emotional base and speaks about a mothers career, two different countries and two different schools of thinking which come together but it creates a conflict , is the basic theme of the film,. The film began it’s shooting schedule at the picturesque Sheetladevi Temple aligned with a beautiful green sea shore. The films mahurat shot was taken with the religious coconut breaking ceremony at the hands of Appa aka Prabhakar Patil and Ravindra Cowdhari started the rolling of the camera.
It’s the first time that 11 producers have come together to make a film which will be majorly shot in the US. The film has a story, screenplay, dialogues and lyrics by Dr.Meena Nerurkar, and her co-director is Sandeep Bhalchandra Patil. The film has melodious music by Ashok Patki. DOP is Vinayak Radhakrishnan. Art is by Narendra Haldankar, makeup is by Srikant Desai, And the executive Producer is Rahul Bodas. The film has Vikram Gokhale, Dr.Meena Nerurkar, Sai Gundewar, Deepti Lele, Asha Shelar, Ram Kolhatkar, Vijay Chavan, Prashant Tapaswi, Abhay Jabde, Ravindra Khare, Deven Gabale, and Manasi Karandikar in lead roles.
