A few days back Marathi cinema got rejuvenated by simply the announcement of new Zee Studios’ film, director Paresh Mokashi’s (of Harishchandrachi Factory & Elizabeth Ekadashi fame) ‘Chi Va Chi Sau Ka’.
The first teaser poster didn’t reveal who will be playing the lead characters ‘Solarputra’ & ‘Vegkanya’. Now after a few days the star cast has finally been revealed. ‘Julun Yeti Reshim Gathi’ fame Lalit Prabhakar will be ‘Solarputra’ & the ‘Vegkanya’ is ‘Rajwade & Sons’ fame Mrinmayee Godbole!
This is one interesting pair for sure. This will be the big screen debut for Lalit, while Mrinmayee for the first time will be playing the lead in an important commercial entertainer. Mrinmayee has previously done films like ’20 Mhanje 20’, ‘Rajwade & Sons’ & another upcoming film ‘CRD’. Both Lalit & Mrinmayee have been trained in theatre & have been a part of many experimental plays.
It’ll be exciting to sse how their chemistry works out under the assured direction of Paresh Mokashi & the backing of Zee Studios!
