Adolescent romance is a rage in Marathi cinema currently. Shala, Timepass, Timepass 2 and a string of other films have been about adolescents falling in love. But realistic romantic films of young matured individuals are few and far between. From the intro teaser Lost & Found seems to be a promising entry to fill in the dearth of quality matured romance.
The first look has a lot of freshness in it. It side steps a lot of clichés one expects of romantic films in Indian cinema. The girl making the first move being one. No unnecessary melodramatizing being another one. There is also realism in the way Siddharth’s character breaks off with his partner as she seems to be unwilling to meet him in person. All of it will certainly echo with today’s youth as they will be able to relate to it.
Siddharth Chandekar and Spruha Joshi bring a lot of freshness to the frame. The both certainly make an interesting pair. Ruturaj Dhalgade has directed this film who has also made Slambook before, while this film has been produced by Vinod Malgewar of Golden Gate Motion Pictures.
