The first ever Zee Talkies Comedy Awards event was a star-studded and dazzling with dance performances, stand-up comedy shows. The event celebrated genre of comedy in Films, theatre and other performances.
The Best movie award was given to Tendulkar out and Best drama was given to Do and Me. Best revived drama was given to Vyakti aani Valli. Winner for the Best director (Movies) was Swapnanil Jaykar. Best Story (Movies): Ravi Jadhav and Priyadarshan Jadhav for Timepass. Best Actor (Movies): Prathamesh Parab (Timepass) and Best Actress (Movies) was given to Nirmitee Sawant (Kumari Gangoobai Non Matric).
In the Theatre category Do and Me has won best drama and Best director was given to Shreerang Godbole and Vibhavari Deshpande. The Best script was won by Sunil Mane for Vande Mataram. Best Actor trophy was collected by Pandharinath Kamble for his role in Padadyad, and best actress by Radhika Ingle for her role in Do and Me.
Best Revived Drama was won by Vyakti Ani Valli. Best director Vijay Kenkare for Gholat Ghol and Best actor Pushkar Shrotri and Best actress was given to Vaikhari Bhajan for their performance in Hasva Fasavi.
Lifetime achievement Award was given to legendary actor Atmaram Bhende. Shaheer Sable and Ashok Naigavkar were given special award for their contribution in the field of folk music and poems respectively. The event was hosted by Makrand Ansapure and Swapnil Joshi. Audience was nostalgic in the performance by Siddharth Jadhav on the famous songs of Laxmikant Berde and Dada Kondke.
