David Dhawan launched the music of the wrestling film Taleem Kushti or wrestling seems to be a sport that has caught the attention of filmmakers these days. After the national award winning Khwada last year, kushti features prominently in the big Eid release Sultan. Another Marathi film that has kushti in it is the upcoming Taleem. The music of Taleem was launched recently at the Orchid Hotel in Mumbai by the veteran Hindi director David Dhawan.
Taleem directed by Nitin Madhukar Rokade will put across all the pros and cons of the ancient sport. Nitin Madhukar Rokade has edited several Hindi films before and this is his directorial debut. There are 5 songs composed for the film by Praful Karlekar and the lyrics have been penned by the renowned lyricist Mandar Cholkar. The album has a wide range of songs from a raunchy lavni called Ishqacha Baan Sutla sung by Ronkani Gupta and Swapnil Godbole to the pathos ridden Kal Na Yo Kal Na. Popular singer Adarsh Shinde has lent his voice to the title track Taleem Rangu De along with Tarannum Malik. There is also a romantic duet sung by Anandi Joshi and Farhad Bhiwandiwala and the fun song Be Eke Be sung by Abhiroop and Swapnil Godbole.
On the occasion of the Music Launch the director Nitin Madhukar Rokade said that songs have been seamlessly woven into the film and are not incorporated just as fillers.
The cast and crew along with several other personalities from Marathi and Hindi cinema were present at the event. The film Taleem stars Abhijeet Shwetchandra, Vaishali Dabhade, Mitali Jagtap, Vishnu Joshilkar, Prashant Mohite, Yashpal Sarnath, Arjun and Chaya Kadam. While Nitin Madhukar Rokade has written the story & screenplay besides directing and editing the film, thedialogues have been penned by Sikander Sayyed, Abhijeet Kulkarni and Nitin Rokade Farouque Khan is the cinematographer of the film. The film shot entirely in Bhor, Junnar and Kundal-Sangli is slated for release all over Maharashtra in July 15, 2016.
