Marathi cinema has a unique genre that is only seen in our films. The films that have a backdrop of ‘Tamasha’, are popularly known as ‘Tamashapat’. From the golden age of Marathi cinema in 50s & 60s to later in 70s & 80s countless Tamashapats have entertained our audiences.
The recently revealed poster of ‘Chhand Priticha’ reminds us of those classic films like ‘Pinjra’ & ‘Sangte Aika’. Subodh Bhave will be seen in such a role for the first time. Along with Subodh Bhave the film stars Suvarna Kale & debutant Harsh Kulkarni in the lead whereas actors like Sharad Ponkshe, Vikas Samudre, Suhasini Deshpande & Ganesh Yadav will be seen in supporting characters.
This film is written & directed by N. Relekar & the film is produced by Chandrakant Jadhav. The songs of this modern day ‘Tamasha’ musical are composed by Praveen Kunwar. ‘Premala Pictures’ produced ‘Chhand Priticha’ hits theatres from 10th November all over Maharashtra.
