Zee Gaurav is considered to be one of the most prestigious awards in Marathi. Every year the whole industry & the fans eagerly wait for the awards night. As we are all aware in 2016 ‘Sairat’ was the film that was loved by one & all. So it’s not a surprise that in this year’s Zee Chitra Gaurav it’s the most nominated movie. ‘Sairat’ has 11 nominations followed by Sumitra Bhave – Sunil Sukthankar’s ‘Kaasav’ with 8 nominations & then ‘Half Ticket’ & ‘Ranga Patanga’ with 7 nominations each.
In case of Zee Natya Gaurav, Amar Photo Studio is the most nominated play with 12 nominations among the ‘Commercial Play’ category followed by Mahesh Elkunchwar’s Magna Talyakathi with 9 nominations, whereas in the ‘Experimental Play’ category ‘Hey Ram’ has bagged 12 nominations. It will be exciting to see who wins what!
The jury for ‘Zee Chitra Gaurav’ includes Raghuvir Kulkarni, Milind Ingle & Natsamrat fame dialogue writer Kiran Yadnyopavit. The judges for ‘Zee Natya Gaurav – Commercial Category’ are Suresh Khare, Vijay Tapas & Ravindra Divekar, whereas the jury for ‘Zee Natya Gaurav – Experimental Category’ includes Nitin Nerurkar, Rajan Tamhane & famous actor/playwright Yogesh Soman.
