गेल्या काही दिवसांपासून आपण सतत नेटफ्लिक्स, Zee5, Amozon Prime किंवा MX Player यांच्या विषयी ऐकलं असेल किंवा तुमच्या मोबाईल मध्ये या पैकी App ही असतील.. सिम्पल फंडा है बॉस, जो भी हम थेटर मे जाके देखते है, वैसाही कंटेंट हमको इधर भी मिलता है । फक्त थोडे पैसे खर्च करायचे आणि Membarship घ्यायची.. झालं, मनोरंजनाच दुकान तुमच्या घरी नाही, तर मोबाईल मध्ये सुरू.. ते ही दर्जेदार Web Series.. जे तुम्हाला थिएटर मध्ये अनुभवायला मिळतं किंवा त्याहून जास्त मसाला, ड्रामा, ऍक्शन, रोमान्स आणि महत्वाचं म्हणजे फुल ऑन मनोरंजन..
अर्थात या सगळ्यात मराठी माणूस कसा मागे राहील.. या सगळ्यांच वारं मराठी चित्रपट सृष्टीतही शिरलं आणि दर्जेदार मराठी वेब सिरिज प्रेक्षकांच्या भेटीला आल्या..जाणून घेऊया काही मोजक्या पण तुम्ही नक्की बघायला पाहिजे अशा मराठी वेब सिरीज-

१. समांतर–

सुहास शिरवळकर यांच्या कादंबरी वर आधारित समांतर ही वेब सिरीज प्रेक्षकांच्या चांगलीच पसंत पडली आहे.. स्वप्नील जोशी आणि तेजस्वीनी पंडित यांची मुख्य भूमिका असलेली ही सिरीज म्हणजे घडून गेलेल्या भविष्यकाळाचा मागोवा आहे.. तांत्रिक बाजू ही उत्तम असल्याने ही वेब सिरीज पाहायला काहीच हरकत नाही

२. एक थी बेगम-

८० च्या दशकातील मुंबईतील गॅंगवॉर आणि ड्रग्स माफिया यांच्या भोवती सत्य घटनेवर आधारित वेब सिरीज म्हणजे एक थी बेगम..
क्राईम सस्पेन्स थ्रिलर या सदरात मोडणारी ही सिरीज मुळे मुंबई ते दुबई पर्यंत सगळ्यांचे धाबे दणाणून सोडणाऱ्या एका स्त्री ची गोष्ट आहे, जिचा नवऱ्याला नाहक मारलं जातं आणि ती सगळ्यांचा सूड घेते..

३.काळे धंदे-

हसून हसून पोट दुखायला लावणारी कॉमेडी म्हणजे Zee5 वरील काळे धंदे..ही विकी या तरूण छायाचित्रकारची गोष्ट आहे.. वेगवेगळ्या अप्रत्याशित परिस्थितीमुळे त्याचे जीवन कसे बदलते याबद्दल ही कहाणी फिरत आहे. गोष्टी व्यवस्थित लावण्याच्या बेताने तो आणखी गडबडीत अडकतो. निव्वळ करमणूक म्हणून
महेश मांजरेकर, संस्कृति बालगुडे आणि शुभंकर तावडे मुख्य भूमिका असलेला ही वेब सिरीज बघायला हरकत नाही..

४. पांडू–

कदाचित ही सिराज पाहून तरी मुंबई पोलिसांच्या परिस्थिती आपल्याला कल्पना येईल.. निदान ह्या लॉकडाऊन मध्ये तरी.. मुंबई शहरातील एका पोलिसांच्या रोजच्या जीवनात आपल्याला घेऊन जाईल. हा नर्म विनोद आहे..पोलीस हा पण एक माणूसच असतो, पोलिसांच्या मानवी बाजूचा शोध म्हणजे पांडू.. पांडु भ्रष्ट नाही, किंवा तो एक माचो नायकही नाही, त्याला शक्य तितक्या चांगल्या मार्गाने आपल्या मुलाचे संगोपन करायचे आहे.

५. ..आणि काय हवं–

प्रिया बापट आणि उमेश कामत या जोडगोळीची ‘..आणि काय हवं’ म्हणजे एक गोड गुलाबी कथा आहे जी तुम्हाला प्रेमात पाडते, पुन्हा पुन्हा प्रेम करायला लावते आणि ओठांवर हसू खुलवते.. पुण्यात राहणाऱ्या विवाहित मध्यमवर्गीय जोडप्याच्या जीवनातील प्रेमकथेचे गोड गुलाबी क्षण या सिरीज मधून आपल्याला पहायला मिळतात. नवरा बायको म्हणून असणारी भावनिक गुंतागुंत,एकमेकांना समजून घेणं हे या सगळ्या वर भाष्य करणारी ही सिरीज एकदा नक्की बघायला हवी..

सगळ्यांचा लाडका अभिनेता स्वप्नील जोशी हा अनेक हिट सिनेमे आणि टीव्ही मालिकांमध्ये झळकला आहे. हा अभिनेता आता पहिल्यांदाच ‘समांतर’ नावाच्या मराठी वेब मालिकेतून भेटीला आला असून स्वप्नील जोशीने कुमार महाजन ही व्यक्तिरेखा साकारली आहे. त्याच्या बरोबर तेजस्विनी पंडीत ही अभिनेत्री सुद्धा या सिरीजमध्ये दिसली आहे. या मालिकेची निर्मिती अर्जुन सिंग बरान आणि कार्तिक डी निशाणदार यांच्या ‘जीसिम्स’ने केली असून पहिल्यांदाच वेब सिरीज सेगमेंटकरिता त्यांनी भागीदारी केली आहे. ही वेबसिरीज ओव्हर-द-टॉप (ओटीटी) वर प्रदर्शित झाली आणि ‘एमएक्स प्लेयर’च्या वेब सिरीज सेगमेंटमध्ये उपलब्ध आहे. ‘समांतर’ ही वेबमालिका सुहास शिरवळकर यांच्या ‘समांतर’ कादंबरीबर आधारित असून प्रसिद्ध दिग्दर्शक सतीश राजवाडे यांनी या वेब सिरीजचे दिग्दर्शन केले आहे.

‘समांतर’ या वेब मालिकेला प्रेक्षकांचा जबरदस्त प्रतिसाद पाहायला मिळत असून प्रेक्षकांना या वेबमालिकेतील स्वप्नील जोशी, तेजस्विनी पंडित आणि इतर कलाकारांची देखील कामे आवडत आहेत. कुमार महाजनचे भविष्य सुदर्शन चक्रपाणी या माणसाशी कसे जोडले गेले आहे आणि आपले भविष्य जाणून घेण्यासाठी कुमार महाजन चक्रपाणी पर्यंत कसा आणि कोणकोणत्या संकटाना समोर जात त्याचा शोध घेतो हा सगळा प्रवास पाहणे प्रेक्षकांसाठी अतिशय रंजक ठरत असून ही वेबमालिका “एमएक्स प्लेयर” या अग्रगण्य ओटीटी मंचावर उपलब्ध असून या मालिकेला फक्त ३ दिवसात ८० लाखाहून अधिक व्हूज मिळाले आहेत. ही मालिका दिवसेंदिवस अधिक लोकप्रिय होत असून आजपर्यंतच्या मराठी वेबच्या इतिहासातील ‘समांतर’ ही मालिका सर्वाधिक प्रेक्षकांनी पाहिलेली मालिका बनली आहे.

स्वप्नील जोशी म्हणतो की, “समांतर’चे लेखन सुहास शिरवळकर यांनी केले असून ती माझी आवडती कादंबरी आहे. या आधी मी त्यांच्या पुस्तकावर आधारित असलेल्या अणि काही वर्षांपूर्वी आलेल्या ‘दुनियादारी’ या सिनेमात काम केले होते. मला मनापासून वाटते कि, त्यांच्या लेखणीत खूप ताकद आहे आणि त्यांच्या लिखाणावर खूप चांगले काम होऊन उत्तम दर्जाचा व्हिजुअल कॉन्टेन्ट तयार होऊ शकतो. मी स्वतःला खूप भाग्यवान समजतो की, मला ‘समांतर’ करायला मिळते आहे. ‘दुनियादारी’ केल्यानंतर पुन्हा एकदा त्यांच्या नावाशी जोडले जाणे ही माझ्यासाठी खूप आनंदाची आणि अभिमानाची गोष्ट आहे. श्रीमती शिरवळकर आणि त्यांच्या संपूर्ण कुटुंबाचा मी ऋणी आहे कारण हे शिवधनुष्य पेलण्यासाठी त्यांनी माझ्यावर, सतीश राजवाडे आणि ‘जीसिम्स’ वर विश्वास दाखवला.”

स्वप्नील जोशी पुढे म्हणाला की, “सतीशवर सुद्धा या पुस्तकाचा फार मोठा प्रभाव आहे. या कथेसाठी तो एक योग्य असा दिग्दर्शक आहे. या मालिकेच्या माध्यमातून सतीश आणि मी एकत्र येत आहोत. त्याचबरोबर या मालिकेचे निर्माते ‘जीसिम्स’ने कथेचे दर्जेदार मालिकेत रूपांतर करण्याची महत्वपूर्ण कामगिरी केली आहे. संपूर्ण तंत्रज्ञ चमू आणि कलाकारांनी या मालिकेसाठी अणि ती दर्जेदार होण्यासाठी खूप मेहनत घेतली आहे. ‘समांतर’मध्ये माझी कुमार नावाची भूमिका आहे आणि ही व्यक्तिरेखा मी याआधी केलेल्या व्यक्तिरेखांपेक्षा खूप वेगळी आहे. एक अभिनेता म्हणून ही व्यक्तिरेखा साकारणे माझ्यासाठी खूप आव्हानात्मक होते. त्याचबरोबर ही मालिका ‘एमएक्स प्लेयर’सारख्या कंपनीच्या माध्यमातून प्रेक्षकांच्या भेटीला आली असल्याने ती जास्तीत जास्त लोकांपर्यंत पोहचेल याची मला पूर्ण खात्री आहे.”

Quick Viewpoint: ‘Aani Kay Hava’ is solely dependent on it’s two actors (there’s almost no one else) and the chemistry between them. While it stumbles upon a little in the beginning it still gives us some heartfelt and fun moments to cherish.

What Works?

• As said above first and foremost it’s Priya and Umesh’s ease and charm that makes this series worth a watch, follow that by the fact that they are still playing characters and are not just being themselves. ‘Saket’ & ‘Jui’ are very well established characters with specific traits (that are very much relatable to today’s newly married couples) and that makes room for more seasons to come!
• The last two episodes take the series to it’s peak. While a similar easy breazy light hearted tone is ever present, the second last episode turns out extremely funny and rewatchable while the last episode brings out the heart of the series and of Jui & Saket’s relationship!
• No matter how objective one tries to be, this series being free to consume makes a lot of difference in our expectations from it! Had it been streamed on a monetized platform we might have expected some more substance rather than just the light hearted harmless fun. So yes since it’s not a film screened in a theatre, or a web series streamed on a monetized platform, ‘Aani Kay Hava’ as the name suggests makes us feel content!

What Fails? 

• The first two episodes suffer from over stretching of the available content. I mean the dialogues as the scenario stays the same everywhere. The dialogues being essential to this series as the series is basically just two people talking, that’s all!
• Overall the length of the series is around 1 hr 45 minutes, (actually even lesser if the credits from every episode are subtracted) and it is distributed into 6 different scenarios as 6 episodes. When put together the length might seem suitable for a film, but it’s not a film in any possible way. There’s no real problem here but maybe to be called a ‘web series’ the series should have been longer! At least twice this length!

Final Verdict: Director Varun Narvekar has explored the new medium effectively and we need to realize that this seems more like a trial! We surely should anticipate more quality work in Marathi through this medium.
