Many a times commercial films and festival films are clearly different from each other. But sometimes certain films makes the transition from one side to the other. Some films that have been awarded at different film festivals and have won other important awards also release theatrically for the general audiences.
‘Copy‘ an upcoming Marathi film belongs to this category! ‘Copy’ seems to focus on the adolescent age when kids are trying to take education very seriously. Especially for kids in the rural villages education is the only means of bettering their life and fulfilling their dreams!
While such stories are not new in Marathi cinema ‘Copy’ stands out for it’s treatment. Technically the film looks on par with international standards of cinema. The teenage actors too seem to avoiding the usual over the top acting done by teen actors in our films. Let’s hope the audiences like the film when it releases in theatres all over Maharashtra on 1st of November.
