Swapnil Joshi Starrer ‘Mogra Phulaalaa‘ has received very good response from the audience. The film is doing very well in the theaters in Mumbai, Thane, Pune to watch the family drama, which has been subtly narrated. The film registered the business of Rs 37.5 lakh on the first day of it released, followed by Rs 56.2 lakh on Saturday, the second day of the release. Despite of the much hyped cricket match between India and Pakistan on Sunday, June 16,  the film registered the business of Rs 51.5 lakh. The business for first three days was pegged at Rs 1.45 crore.

The response to the film has compelled the producers to increase the number of shows in multiplexes and theaters says Arjun Singh Baran and Kartik Nishandar of GSEAMS Films. Directed by Shrabani Deodhar who has made cult classics in Marathi cinema like ‘Lapandav’ & ‘Sarkarnama’. The film marks debut of Sai Shakti Anand into Marathi cinema who had been seen in popular Hindi serials.

Leading actors from Marathi industry Nina Kulkarni, Chandrakant Kulkarni, Anand Ingale, Sandeep Pathak  too have contributed to the rich production values of the film. Mother played by Nina Kulkarni resembles with the great character of mother played by other noted actresses on silver screen. Award winning director Chandrakant Kulkarni has tried his acting skills after a long period in this film by playing character of Swwapnil’s uncle. Shankar Mahadevan, Bela Shende, Jasraj Joshi and Rohit Raut have sung the songs composed by Rohit Raut and penned by Abhishek Kankhar. The film will be remembered for decades, undoubtedly, owing to the great story, appealing concept duly supported by leading actors and ear soothing songs.

‘Love Lafde’ is an upcoming Marathi Rom Com that is all set to defy the norms of releasing a film in Marathi! Following the tradition of online content all over the world, this Marathi film is all set to be released online through a mobile app. The name of this app is Home Cinema Center (HCC).

This film stars Balak Palak fame actor Rohit Phalke who was also seen in the critically acclaimed ‘Manjha’. The film also stars Ruchira Jadhav, Sumedh Gaikwad & Monika Dabde in important roles. This film is directed by Sachin Ambat & is an out & out entertainer targeted mainly towards the youth.

It would be interesting to see how the audience responds to this brave attempt at releasing a Marathi film on a mobile app instead of the big screen. Would we see more such Marathi releases? The music has been composed by Ajay Atul. The album contains various songs like item song, romantic duets and sad songs. The lyrics have been penned by Santosh Katkade. The film stars Deepak Shirke, Arun Geete, Sunil Godbole, Vikrant Thakare, Pratik Chandvadkar, Dnyaneshwar Wagh and Pooja Raj. The film is directed by Sai Anand.

The story of Jidda is based on a student’s perseverance and how he overcomes his hurdles in his college life. The story screenplay is by Santosh Katkade and dialogues are by Abhijeet Kulkarni.

Renowned director Sanjay Jadhav is all set to release his next film Pyaar Vali Love Story on October 2, 2014. The music team is working hard on the song recording before going on the floor. The third song of the movie was recorded at Ajivasan studio on Thursday.

The foot tapping beats are apt to the lyrics ‘Shutter ka tala … kisne hai khola ….’ by Sachin Pathak (Yo). He has also given the lyrics to the song ‘Zindagi Zindagi’ from blockbuster movie Duniyadari.

The unique part of this song is well-known music directors Amitraj and Pankaj Padghan are working together. For the first time, Amitraj will be singing for his dear friend and music director Pankaj Padghan along with singer Rohit Raut (‘Yara Yara’ – Duniyadari fame). After six months of tough efforts the music team has delivered to its best. With positive response from everyone towards the song, the recording resulted to fun and joyous moment for everyone part of the team.

Upendra Limaye and Sameer Dharmadhikari were also present at the studio for song recording. Including the entire team, choreographer Umesh Jadhav was also part of the recording to understand the song better for designing path breaking steps for the artists.

Marathi music lovers have appreciated the song Zindagi Zindagi making it a song of the year. Following the same trend and excelling further, ‘Shutter ka tala … kisne hai khole’ is also expected to be song of the decade.

Actors Swapnil Joshi and Sai Tamhankar will play the lead roles in Pyaar Vali Love Story whereas Urmila Kanetkar-Kothare and Nagesh Bhosale will play an independent key role in the movie standing strong. The new faces in the team will be well known actors Upendra Limaye, Sameer Dharmadhikari and Chinmay Mandlekar.
