Gudhi Padwa is the beginning of Marathi New Year. Celebrating Gudhi Padwa is in a way getting ready for the year ahead. Just like the highly raised ‘Gudhi’ everyone wishes to fly high in their personal as well as professional lives. So even our favourite stars from Zee Marathi serials are all set to fly high!

In Mumbai’s Girgaon region Gudhi Padwa is celebrated in traditional style with the whole Dhol Tasha extravaganza. The very famous ‘Shobha Yatra’ of Girgaon is filled with traditional wears & beautiful ‘Rangoli’. The common ‘Mumbaiker’ was joined by Zee Marathi stars this year in this celebration.

Shiv & Gauri (Rishi Saxena & Sayali Sanjeev) from ‘Kahe Diya Pardes’ & Nupur (Prajakta Mali) from ‘Naktichya Lagnala Yaycha Ha’ joined this fun-filled ‘Shobha Yatra’. They also played the Dhol Tasha themselves. Here are some exclusive photos of the celebration!

Marathi new year celebration is around the corner and TV channels have brough some innovative celebrations for the audience. Amhi Sare Khavaiyye- a cookery show on Zee Marathi will be celebrating this year’s Gudhi Padwa with the star cast of its famous TV serials. Interestingly the cast will appear in the pairs of on-screen mother-in-law and daughter-in-law. The episodes will be teleacasted from 28 March to 31 March at 1:30 pm on Zee Marathi.

The pair of Majhya Navaryache Baayako will be making appearing in this show. Bharati patil will present Puranpoli of green peas and Anita Date (Radhika) will be showing us how to make sweet potato sutarfeni.

Gauri (played by Sayali Sanjeev) and her mother-in law from Kahe Diya Pardes will be working together in the kitchen and will show Tomato Aloo Chat and Papaya Halwa. Naani (played by Nayana Apte) from Chukbhul Dyavi Ghyavi will be making cucumber kheer and Sukanya Mone will present banana bhaji. The duo from Khulta Kali Khulena will present Pumpkin Barfi by Abhidnya Bhave and Savita Prabhune will present Gulkand Kachori.

Story Outline : 

Chuk Bhool Dyavi Ghyavi is a one of a kind show which brings to the screen the 50 years of marriage of a simple couple ranging across the era of 1960s to the current times. This light-hearted drama explores the bittersweet relationship between a husband & a wife. The show’s premise is based on the value that marriage is a balance struck between two people, where mistakes are forgiven & forgotten.

This show is delight in the truest sense as it showcases Dilip Prabhavalkar & Sukanya Mone in the lead roles. It also casts Priyadarshan Jadhav & Sayali Phatak who will portray the lead characters’ younger selves.

To commence a new phase of entertainment at the beginning of 2017, Zee Marathi presents us with two brand new serials ‘Chukbhul Dyavi Ghyavi’ & ‘Naktichya Lagnala Yaycha Ha’. ‘Chukbhul Dyavi Ghyavi’ is based on a popular play of the same name. Our favorite senior actor Dilip Prabhawalkar stars in this film alongside Sukanya Kulkarni-Mone. Both ‘Chukbhul Dyavi Ghyavi’ & ‘Naktichya Lagnala Yaycha Ha’ will be telecasted on Zee Marathi from 18th Jan every Wednesday to Saturday at 9.30 pm& 10 pm respectively.

‘Chukbhul Dyavi Ghyavi’ is produced by popular actress Manava Naik & directed by ‘Tendulkar Out’ fame director Swapnaneel Jaykar. The screenplay & dialogues are written by one of the leading contemporary female writers, Madhugandha Kulkarni! ‘Chuk bhul Dyavi Ghyavi’ belongs to an aged couple; Rajabhau & Malti. They are almost in their 80s but are still passionately in love with each other. Rajabhau is evergreen at heart whereas Malti stresses him to accept his real age! This funny conflict causes conflict between the two & exciting entertainment for us! The 103 year old character of Rajabhau’s mother is played by Naina Apte, whereas the younger versions of Rajabhau & malti are portrayed by Priyadarshan Jadhav & Sneha Phatak.

‘Naktichya Lagnala Yaycha Ha’ is a story that belongs to ‘Deshpande’ family. They live in an old mansion. Damodar Deshpande has two sons Chandrakant & Suryakant, daughter Shaila & her husband Jayanta. Suryakant’s daughter is fondly called as ‘Naktu’, the protagonist of the story. The story revolves around her marriage as that becomes a necessity for the old mansion to be replaced by a new building as that’s what Damodar Deshpande’s last wish is. There are further romantic & funny twists to the story.
