‘मिठुवाला प्रौडक्शन्स’ आणि “कल्पना रोलिंग पिक्चर्स प्रौडक्शन’ निर्मित यांचे सादरीकरण असलेल्या ‘नेबर्स ” चित्रपटाचा संगीत प्रकाशन आणि ट्रेलर लाँच सोहळा नुकताच संपन्न झाला. निर्माते हितेश पटेल आणि दिग्दर्शक विनय श्रीरंग घोलप यांच्या या चित्रपटात एका तरुणीची गूढरम्य कहाणी चित्रित करण्यात आली आहे.

विज्ञान-तंत्रज्ञानाची कल्पनारम्य कथा असलेल्या या चित्रपटात चेतन चिटणीस, कृत्तिका गायकवाड, सिद्धार्थ बोडके, प्रसाद जावडे, शैलेश दातार, नेहा बंब, अदिती येवले आदी कलाकारांच्या प्रमुख भूमिका आहेत. हा चित्रपट येत्या २० मार्चला संपूर्ण महाराष्ट्रात प्रदर्शित होत आहे.
दिग्दर्शक विनय घोलप यांचीच पटकथा असलेल्या या चित्रपटाचे संवाद हृषीकेश कोळी आणि विनय घोलप यांनी लिहिले आहेत तर
छायालेखनाची महत्वाची जबाबदारी कॅमेरामन आशुतोष आपटे यांनी सांभाळली आहे. गीतकार मंगेश कांगणे यांच्या गीतांना संगीतकार निषाद यांनी स्वरसाज चढविला आहे. पार्श्वसंगीतही त्यांनीच दिले आहे. गायक नकाश अजीज ,अरमान मलिक ,अवधूत गुप्ते ,रितिका निषाद ,देवश्री मनोहर ,कृष्णा बोंगाणे आहे.
श्री गुरु पाटील आणि महेश किल्लेकर यांनी संकलन केले असून चित्रपटाची तांत्रिक बाजू विशाल तालकर (व्हीएफएक्स), भूषण दळवी (डीआय), आणि दिनेश उचिल व शंतनू अकेरकर (ध्वनी-रेखन), अनुप देव आदी तंत्रज्ञांनी सांभाळली आहे. चित्रपटाचे कार्यकारी निर्माते राहुल भोसले असून कला दिग्दर्शन संजीव राणे यांनी केले आहे. शीतल पावसकर यांनी वेशभूषेची जबाबदारी सांभाळली आहे.

After having received overwhelming response to the recently released teaser from the film goers, trailer and poster of the most awaited horror Marathi film “Kaaal” was released today. The one of its kind horror film in Marathi, Kaaal has created buzz in the film industry especially on social media. The curiosity about the film has stretched further after the release of the trailer though the film viewers will have to wait for its release on January 24.

The path breaking and the first-of-its-kind cinema in Marathi ‘Kaaal’, is directed, written and edited by D Sandeep. The movie has been produced by Hemant Ruparel and Ranjit Thakur of Frames Production, Nitin Vaidya of Nitin Vaidya Production, D Sandeep of Kantilal Production & Pravin Kharat and Anuj Adwani. The Movie features Satish Gejage, Sanket Vishwasrao, Shreyas Behere, Rajkumar Jarange, Vaibhavi Chavan and Gayatri Chighlikar in pivotal roles.

The trailer depicts a group of youngsters entangled in a mystery when they are at bungalow in Konkan. The group, in a bid to project themselves as paranormal investigators, finds it difficult to handle the situation when they themselves face the haunting experience in the bungalow. ‘Once you are in, there is not exit’, the sentence which appears on the screen indicates that the youngsters are in real trouble. The poster released simultaneously with the trailer reinforces the different style of the horror film as directed by D. Sandeep. The wording on the poster –beginning of the end- gives the sense of the really scary theme the story attempts to showcase on the silver screen. The teaser and trailer of the films compel the film audience to determine to watch the film for sure.

So, for filmmaker D Sandeep, it wasn’t an easy decision to venture into the Marathi film industry with a genre that rarely gets made in the industry. But the filmmaker was determined by real-life incidents that drove him to complete the film.

Speaking about the film, writer and director D. Sandeep says, “It was during my college years that I got interested in this genre thanks to Hollywood films on the subject. I did my research and am ready to present “Kaaal” to the audience now. Moreover I was determined by real-life incidents that drove me to complete the film. I think the film will change the Marathi audience’s perception of the genre and pave way for more such films in the zone. We received overwhelming response to our teaser launched earlier. The film enthusiasts conveyed by watching them that they are eagerly watch the film in the theatres. I think the trailer and poster released today will further arouse the curiosity of the film enthusiasts.”

Teaser and Poster of the upcoming Marathi horror movie KAAAL which will be a path breaking and the first-of-its-kind cinema in Marathi language was released today. While some horror films have been made in Marathi, the style of execution of KAAAL is what sets it apart from the rest.

KAAAL, which is written, directed and edited by D Sandeep, is eyeing a 24th January 2020 release. In recent times we have seen quite a few Marathi films which have used adult humour as a primary mode of entertainment. However none of them have really made any deeper intrusion beyond the surface level stereotypes in this genre. Will ‘Atpadi Nights‘ break this norm? Only time will tell!

But for now the trailer of the film seems slightly better than many other films that have come become of similar kind. The lead paring of Pranav Raorane and Sayali Sanjeev is unusual yet surprisingly exciting. The film seems to have authentic backdrop of the the rural setting.

Films that came before of this kind many a times had a forceful moral message at the end of the film, almost abruptly attached to not be blamed by any moral policing members of the society. However in ‘Aatpadi Nights’ through the trailer the social context seems genuine and not forced. The taboo about men’s sexual problems could be talked about more fluently if this film succeeds to reach more audiences!

Currently in a completely chaotic world of politics in Maharashtra a film like ‘Dhurala’ makes more sense than ever! However it will be interesting to see what the pair of Vidwans-Patwardhan contribute to this genre. So far filmmakers in Marathi have mostly sticked to their comfort zones, i.e artists from Mumbai-Pune have hardly focused on rural backdrops in their films, similarly filmmakers coming from rural parts haven’t tried stories set in the urban backdrop much.

But with ‘Dhurala’ Vidwans-Patwardhan have focused on rural politics! From the teaser of the film one can make out that this will be a stylistic commercial political drama about the competition and the games people play in politics! The makers of the ‘Boyz‘ franchise are now bringing a new spin off film ‘Girlz‘ and it pretty much looks just as raunchy and forcibly funny as the previous franchise! Just instead of the boys we have girls! We have a new genre of adult sex comedies which is fine but the problem none of this films primarily have succeeded as comedies!

‘Girlz’ too feels completely unfunny from the trailer. You see flashy exotic locales, even more flashier girls and a background score that is endlessly trying too hard to sound cool. A couple of recent Hindi films and web shows have followed the exact pattern that we see here, the whole idea of modern day feminism has been misinterpreted by makers of such content!

However it’s unfair to write off ‘Girls’ simply from the trailer and we hope the film proves us wrong and instead turns out to be a healthy entertainer if not a socially aware film about today’s girls breaking out of their societal boundaries and restrictions!
