‘Charandas Chor’ is an upcoming Marathi film about a spot boy who runs away from with whole lot of money from the sets of a film! Till now we only had the idea of this interesting plot. But now the trailer of the film is out. It introduces us to Charandas’ journey after he robs the money from the set.

But how & why does he actually steal the money, still remains a mystery. It feels there’s some sort of secret that he is hiding inside him. He has a trunk a very colorful ‘Peti’ with him in which there’s that money! In one of the scenes we also see him drying all the notes at the bank of a river or lake!

We see many people who meet him in the journey asking him about what’s in the ‘peti’! He even honestly tells to an old woman that it’s money inside the ‘peti’. We wonder, why will a thief tell others what he stole? It definitely means there’s more to this Charandas Chor!

Film making is a collaborative process; the director, a team of actors, a team of other artists & technicians & along with them there’s another element, the spotboys! How often have we seen their stories being told on the big screen?

But in the coming week there’s a Marathi film titled ‘Charandas Chor’ that tells the story of a good hearted spot boy who ends up becoming a thief as he robs away a colorful suitcase from the sets filled with 2 Crores Rupees cash! The cash that was brought on the set on the insistence of the director who wanted real money to make the scene more real. And even the producer agreed to it. But later they all run after the spot boy Charandas who has supposedly robbed those 2 Crores!

The character of this spot boy is not of a thug or a thief but of simple minded, good-hearted man yet he is named ‘Charandas Chor’! What could be the mystery? What situation would he be in? Why would he need this much money? All the answers will soon be answered at a theater near you from 22^nd December.

Charan is an apprentice in films and in turn of events he gets a trunk of 2cr original cash which he runs away with. From here, Charan embarks on a journey with 2cr booty, but his problem is, he wants to tell it all about the trunk and also wants to hide it all……..he wants to own the trunk and disown the repercussions…….confusing!!! But as Isaac Newton rightly said so- `Truth is ever to be found in simplicity, and not in the multiplicity & confusion of things’……We will find out the truth!!!
