The sudden sad demise of Atul Abhyankar who played role of Hegdi Pradhan in Jai Malhar has left the entire Marathi entertainment world in shock. However, show must go on and this role will be played by Nakul Ghanekar for the upcoming episodes.

Hegdi Pradhan was an avatar of Lord Vishnu, and he always supported Khanderai in his political as well as personal life. While speaking about this role Nakul said, “Atul was immensely popular in this role. He was also awarded as Best Supporting actor for this serial. I will try to fulfil the expectations of the audience. This role has given me a huge responsibility. I have watched all the episodes of Jai Malhar and prepared myself for this role in a very little time. I don’t think I will be able to match Atul’s acting style, yet I am dedicating myself and hope that audience likes me in this role”

Jai Malhar is telecasted in Zee Marathi at 7 pm.

Atul Abhyankar, mostly popular as Hegadi Pradhan in Jai Malhar TV serial passed away Wednesday morning due to heart attack. He is survived by wife and his mother.

He recently received Zee Marathi award 2014 as best male character for his role in Jai Malhar. He was also known for his roles in Sare Pravasee Ghadeeche, Keshava Madhava on stage.

His last rites will be performed at Shivaji Park crematorium on Wednesday at 1:30 pm.
