His tweet sayd that, “Just got to know that Pinjra V Shantaram’s last film has been restored and re-released in the theatres, we dont often get to see films by our great film makers in the theatre, I am definitely going for it!”

Pinjra, an unforgettable film will be re-released on 18th March all over Maharashtra. The film has become a milestone in Marathi industry and its music and dialogues have been popular since its original release. The film stars Dr. Shreeram Lagoo, Sandhya and Nilu Phule in leading roles. For the re-release the original print has been digitalized. The film was directed by V Shantaram and considered as one of the finest films of India.

Purushottam Laddha and Sauchandrasena Patil has got the rights of the film from V Shantaram Productions and completed 2K Scanning in Prasad Lab. Various technologies like Hand Cleaning, Ultra Sonic Cleaning, 2K scanning, Audio Grabbing, Color Grading, and audio restoration has been done to achieve modern look of the film.

The new background score of the film has been given by Avinash Vishwajeet. The original songs of the film have been etched into the minds of the audience. Music by Ram Kadam and penned by Jagadish Khebudkar the songs like Ali Thumakat, Chabidar Chabi, Tumhavar Keli Me Marji Bahaal, Disal Ga bai Disaka, De Re kanha CHoli Lugdi are still popular.
