Colors Marathi’s Big Boss Marathi hosted by Mahesh Manjrekar has caught the fancy of our audiences completely through the first week! Everyone is speculating their own theories of who could get evicted & how! Voting from the audiences was done in abundance. In the first week Bhushan Kadu, Anil Thatte & Aarti Solanki were in the danger zone & sadly because of lesser votes Aarti Solanki had to leave the Big Boss house.

After her eviction, Aarti said, “I made good friends inside the Big Boss house which include Rutuja, Ushaji, & Sai Lokur..but some of the old friends didn’t stay by my side & that hurt me. Apart from the three mentioned names the rest are all playing mind games in the house. I did the tasks, worked in the kitchen & even entertained other yet I had to leave that made me sad. Though I would say that the Big Boss house is pretty beautiful & very much Maharashtrian.”

After Aarti got evicted she was gifted with a special power to save a contestant from next week’s nomination! And Aarti chose senior actress & fondly called ‘Aau’ in the Big Boss house, Usha Nadkarni! It would be interesting to see what happens next in Marathi Big Boss house. The most awaited Marathi Big Boss on Colors Marathi commenced on 15^th April at 7 pm! Hosted by Mahesh Manjrekar the show seems to have everything that can hook you to the show for months.

Ek Hoti Rani, a love-story directed by Prasad Tarkar is getting ready for the release on 19 February. The film stars Aniket Vishwasrao and Meenal Ghorpade in the lead roles.

The supporting cast of the film includes Uday Tikekar, Kishori Ambiye, Usha Nadkarni, Ashwini Ekbote, Kamlakar Satpute, Arun Kadam, Gayatri Deshmukh, Megha Dhade and Neha Thakur. The film has entirely been shot in the picturesque locations of Goa.

The film has five songs of diferent genres which are composed by Salil Amrute. The lyrics are penned by Ashwini Shende, Dhanashreee Kumbhar, Nilesh Lotankar. Mahalaxmi Iyer, Shaan, Hrishikesh Kamerkar, Jahnvi Prabhu Arora, Nisha have give playback for these songs.

The story of this film has been written by Mahendra Patil and cinematography has been done by Sitharam Sandhiri. The editing has been done by Bunty Sani. The film has been produced by Yogesh Bhalerao.

The heart-touching simple love story will be releasing on 19 February all over Maharastra.

Though a new crop of Marathi filmmakers have been attempting daringly different subjects on celluloid, it is only recently that their efforts have started paying rich dividends with back to back blockbusters like ‘Timepass’ and ‘Duniyadari’. While Marathi films are doing fabulous business at the box-office, they are also getting recognition in the form of National Awards and various other prestigious awards at important film festivals. Director Shivaji Lotan Patil is a known name in the festival circuit, thanks to his national award winning movie ‘Dhag’. After successfully trying his hand in tackling serious subjects, Shivaji is now all set to entertain the audience with his first out an out comedy film ‘Rajwada’.

Like his past films ‘Vavtal’ and ‘Dhag’, ‘Rajwada’ also has a strong social message. However, this time Shivaji is presenting it with ample doses of comedy. “It’s like sugarcoated medicine. You have to reach the masses to effectively convey your message and comedy is the best vehicle,” says Shivaji.

‘Rajwada’ stars screen award winner Mangesh Desai in a lead role. Megha Dhade is playing his love interest. Leading comedians such as Abhijit Chavan, Kishor Choughule, Arun Kadam and veteran Kuldeep Pawar are lending able support to Mangesh, Medha and director Shivaji Patil in their endevour to entertain people.

‘Rajwada’ tells the story of an ex-king who after independence has lost his kingdom. Due to his extravagant lifestyle, he has gone bankrupt and his ‘Wada’ is up for sale. In a desperate bid to save his only possession, the ex-ruler and his family go on spree of lies, creating many comical situations and total havoc in the village.

The film has been written by Arvind Jagtap. Music is by Vijay Gatlewar. Produced by Deepak Parkhe for Superpower Entertainment, ‘Rajwada’  is slated to hit theaters on 11^th April.
