Mahesh Tilekar’s stage performance show Marathi Taraka recently performed in Kargil for soldiers. Actresses and dancers including Bhargavi Chirmule, Shweta Shinde, Teja Devkar, Prachi Pisat, Subhash Nakashe, Rajesh Bidwe, Sadrick Dsouza, Hitesh Patil and Aditi Gholap performed in this stage show.

Soldiers immensely enjoyed this special show. Some of them also joined the performance and danced and sang.

The soldiers who are stationed at 9000 feet above sea level lead a very tensed and rough life. Yet, their sense of duty and patriotism in unparallel. The challenge for organizers was to get everybody at this station, as geographical conditions of this terrain are very tough. The fourteen hour journey was especially very difficult for the performers.

Celebrated producer director Mahesh Tilekar under the aegis of his Varadlaxmi Foundation will present awards to veteran Sharmila Tagore, National Award winning actor Saurabh Shukla and eminent actor Varsha Usgaonkar along with ace Hindi Villain Zakir Hussain and actor from Pune Amey Wagh from the TV Show on Zee Marathi, Dil Dosti Duniyadari, actress Hemangi Kavi, and the king of Slow Motion dancing and actor Raghav Juyal. The awards will be held on June 22 at Ganesh Krida Grounds in Pune at 4.30 pm.

These awards in it’s nineteenth year are given for Excelence in Drama, Films and Television and also to rising talent.This year round the awards will be bestowed at the hands of renowned industrialist Dhananjay Datar. Ashish Patil from the Nrityangan Kala Academy will perform dances on the occasion and reputed mimicry artiste Deepak Deshpande will also regal the audiences. Then the audience can interact with the award winners.

Those young backstage artistes like dancers Akshata Trikhe, Rutuja Junnarkar, Choreographer Cedric D’Souza, and Hitesh Patil will also be felicitated on the occasion. The event will be anchored by Smita Gawankar and entry is for invitees only.

Till now big names like Nadira, Nilu Phule, Prem Chopra, Zeenat Aman, Bharat Jadhav, Bindu, Late Jaspal Bhatti, Subodh Bhave, Amruta Khanvilkar, Kailash Kher, Sadhana Sargam, Satish Shah, Mrunal Kulkarni, Prateik Babbar, Sulabha Deshpande, Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Aruna Irani, Asha Bhosle, Usha Uthup, Dilip Prabhavalkar, Ashok Saraf, Shraddha Kapoor, Adinath Kothare etc among 100 artistes have been honored with Umed awards.

साता समुद्रापार झेंडा फडकावणा-या आगळ्यावेगळ्या `मराठी तारका` या कार्यक्रमाचा शतकमहोत्सवी सोहळा 27 फेब्रुवारी रोजी मुंबईच्या यशवंतराव चव्हाण सेंटरमध्ये दिमाखदार वातावरणात पार पडला. चिरतरुण आवाजाच्या आशाताई भोसले आणि चिरतारुण्याचं वरदान लाभलेल्या रेखा, तसंच नृत्यगुरू पद्मविभूषण पं. बिरजू महाराज, ज्येष्ठ अभिनेत्री वहीदा रेहमान, आशा पारेख आणि लेखिका शोभा डे यांच्या उपस्थितीने या सोहळ्याला वेगळ्या उंचीवर नेऊन ठेवले. उपमुख्यमंत्री अजितदादा पवार, जलसंपदा मंत्री सुनील तटकरे यांनीही कार्यक्रमाला उपस्थित राहून कार्यक्रमात रंगत आणली.

निर्माते दिग्दर्शक महेश टिळेकर यांची निर्मिती, संकल्पना असलेल्या या कार्यक्रमाने गेली अनेक वर्षे मराठी रसिकांना मोहिनी घातली आहे. चौदा मराठी तारकांना एकाच मंचावर एकत्र आणण्याच्या या अभिनव प्रयोगाला रसिकांनीही भरभरून दाद दिली आहे.

“अमिताभ बच्चन आणि रेखा या दोनच कलाकारांचा मी फॅन आहे आणि `मुकद्दर का सिकंदर` हा सगळ्यात आवडता चित्रपट आहे,“ असे सांगून अजितदादा पवार यांनी जुन्या आठवणींना उजाळा दिला. “महेश टिळेकर हे माझ्या घरातलेच सदस्य आहेत आणि हा माझ्यासाठी घरगुती सोहळा आहे,` असे सांगून आशाताईंनी टिळेकरांच्या वेगळ्या प्रयत्नांचे कौतुक केले. या सोहळ्यात नेहा पेंडसे, भार्गवी चिरमुले, हेमांगी कवी, ऊर्मिला कानेटकर, प्रिया बापट, पूजा सावंत, श्रुती मराठे, दीपाली सय्यद, क्रांती रेडकर, स्मिता शेवाळे, तेजा देवकर, सिया पाटील, मेघा घाडगे आणि स्मिता तांबे अशा चौदा तारकांनी नृत्ये सादर केली. साक्षात रेखा यांच्या उपस्थितीत `दिल चीज क्या है` आणि `सलामे इश्क मेरी जान`वर पूजा सावंतने सादर केलेल्या नृत्याला मोठी दाद मिळाली. परंतु कार्यक्रमाच्या शेवटी मंचावर आल्यानंतर आशाताईंनी स्वतः माईक हातात घेऊन `दिल चीज क्या है` गायले आणि त्यावर रेखा यांनी उत्स्फूर्तपणे नृत्य सादर केले, तेव्हा प्रेक्षकांनी टाळ्यांच्या कडकडाटात प्रेक्षागृह डोक्यावर घेतले. `एकवेळ देवाचं दर्शन घेणं सोपं आहे, पण रेखाला अशा कार्यक्रमात पाहता येण्यासाठी भाग्यच लागतं,` असं आशाताईंनी सांगितलं.

निलेश साबळे आणि अभिजित खांडकेकर यांनी सूत्रसंचालन केले. प्रा. दीपक देशपांडे यांनीही राजकीय नेत्यांच्या आवाजांची नक्कल सादर करून मान्यवरांची दाद मिळवली.
