Goshta Tashi Gamtichi, Perfect Mismatch, Don’t worry be happy: all these popular plays have one thing in common – they have all been produced by Sonal Productions. It has made a name for itself within a short span of time. At a recently held party at a Dadar hall, for celebrating the success of the play Goshta Tashi Gamtichi, an exciting announcement was made – ‘Goshta Tashi Gamtichi’ will soon have a sequel!

The program began with Leena Bhagwat sharing her thoughts and expressing her gratitude and satisfaction on the success of the play. Mangesh Kadam also thanked Sonal productions for backing his screenplay to the hilt. Then, an extraordinary precedent of honoring backstage artists was set at the event. Backstage artist are an important cog in the wheel of a play but their value is hardly acknowledged. Post this ceremony, backstage artist would be respected more, hopefully. Kamal Shedge, Samir Hampi and Satish Khoutode were honored at the event.

Sonal Productions started their journey with an orchestra called ‘Ankhiyon Ke Jharokon Se’ in 2013. The beauty of the orchestra is that all of its members are blind. Then on 3^rd August, 2014 they staged the play ‘Goshta Tashi Gamtichi’. The play starring Leena Bhagwat, Mangesh Kadam and Shashank Ketkar has done 311 shows till now! It has also won 19 awards in all. ‘Perfect Mismatch’ was then staged by them on 20^th December, 2015 and ‘Don’t Worry Be Happy’ on 25^th December, 2015. Both plays have had numerous shows and awards!

On the eve of the celebration of Goshta Tashi Gamtichi, a short film giving us info about the play was screened. The cast and crew shared interesting anecdotes at the event from their experience of working for Sonal Productions. Shashank Ketkar, Leena Bhagwat, Mangesh Kadam, Amruta Subhash along with veteran actors Ashok Saraf, Prashant Damle and Anant Jog graced the occasion with their presence. All of them wished Sonal Productions even more success!

Adinath Kothare will be not seen in his usual lover boy types of roles but will be seen in a serious role and his character has many nuances to it apart from being a non-glamorous one. Plot Outline :
Kaustubh is an innocent little boy in his tender age. He loves to live in his imaginative world that is full of wonders and adventures. The tales that his grandma, Aaji tells him is the base on which he has built a few fantasies. The Dashavtar tales from Indian mythology are his favourite. These tales are based on Lord Vishnu’s Ten avatars. Kaustubh has also learnt through these tales that Lord Vishnu’s tenth avatar, the Kalki avatar is going to be in Kaliyuga, the modern era we are in. Innocent mind of Kaustubh, who is in his fourth standard, is captured with the imagination that he himself is that Kalki avatar. His close friend Mangya, who is equally thrilled with this idea, confirms his belief. A few incidental coincidences validate Kaustubh’s imagination. Once he is convinced, he shares this secret with Amod, the young engineering student that is a tenant in Kaustubh’s home. Amod who is atheist by nature, does not pay much attention.

Convinced by the idea of being the Kalki avatar, Kaustubh becomes so confident that he tries the biggest adventure he is possessed with since quite long. He gets injured and suffers from a fractured leg. This acts as a big blow to Kaustubh’s fantasy and his emotionally driven imaginative world gets shattered. He finds it difficult to come to terms with the reality and goes in a shell. He starts avoiding his dear friend Mangya and even everybody at his home. Observing his strange behaviour, the Doctor advises Kaustubh’s parents to consult a psychiatrist. But they don’t act upon the advice in anticipation of the social stigma.

Kaustubh’s mother realizes that Kaustubh who feels so detached from everyone, is pretty comfortable with Amod. So she requests Amod to help Kaustubh come out of this emotional turmoil. Amod accepts this challenge and in an attempt of getting into the crux of the problem, gets friendly with Mangya. He then understands that the real cause is Kaustubh’s fantasy based passion of becoming an avatar. Amod shares with Kaustubh a different perspective about the very concept of the avatar and slowly helps him come out of the mental stress he is facing. Kaustubhwith Amod’s help overcomes the depression and regains his confidence.

After giving his voice to several blockbuster hit movies, Rohit Shyam Raut along with his partner Sreedhar Menon has composed their first song for the upcoming movie ‘Avatarachi Goshta’. The team Avatarachi Goshta on Saturday evening hosted a grant party and announced their promotional song with the live performanceof the promotional song ‘Dokyacha zhalay bhaza..’ written by Nitin Dixit and aptly sung by Sharayu Date, Siddhi Lokare, Rohit Shyam Raut, composed by Rohit Shyam Raut & Sreedhar Menon and arranged by Yugandhar Deshmukh.

The movie is around two children Kautusbh (Mihiresh Joshi) and Mangya (Yash Kulkarni). The story is about their imaginative world of Dashavtar which is full of wonders and adventures. The screen space is shared by Adinath Kothare, Sulabha Deshpande, Sunil Abhyankar, Leena Bhagwat and Rashmi Khedekar along with a special appearance of brilliant actor Ashish Vidyarthi.

Nitin Dixit has directed and also written story, screenplay and dialogues for the movie, produced by Sachin Salunke, cinematographer Nagraj Diwakar, editor Mayur Hardas, music is manned by Gandhaar and sung by Shaan and Jasraj.
