The famous comic duo of Gangubai and Chhu had the audience in splits and at the same time created awareness about social issues through television soap and a play. Now the audience are in for a treat as they will get to watch the hilarious duo on the silver screen as well. The film will also sport the same title that is Kumari Gangubai Non Matric and the audience will get to see the jugalbandi between popular Marathi stars Nirmiti Sawant Vs Pandhariath Kamble and Nagesh Bhosale Vs Anand Ingale. The film is produced by Vidyadhar Pathare’s Iris Production and will be presented by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. The story, screenplay, dialogues are written by Rajesh Deshpande who had originally penned the story, screenplay and dialogue for the serial and the play. Deshpande who had earlier directed both the television soap and the play will direct the film as well. The film will be released on September 27^th.

A decade ago the duo of Gangubai and Chhu had made their first appearance on the small screen. Gangubai solved the problems of common people in her own signature style and Chhu helped her out. Gangubai’s generous nature and her expertise in solving varied problems in the playful manner had made her quite popular among the audience. As a weekly soap, Gangubai had even created a record for doing more episodes as compared to other weekly soaps. Later the play which was adapted from the television soap and starred the same actors as the teleserial had also received tremendous response from the audience.

Now after gaining remarkable popularity in both the mediums now the duo of Gangubai and Chu will make a grand entry on the silver screen. One central theme with the same star cast presenting in all three mediums that is Television, theatre and films by the same producer – director duo is also a kind of record created by team Gangubai. In the television soap and play, while solving the social problems, Gangubai had tried to make a comment on the social issues in satirical manner. In the film Gangubai will solve the social problems through politicians. To solve the problems of the common man Gangubai is going to stand for the elections. Writer-director Rajesh Deshpande is known for through knowledge of political and social issues and his trademark style of creating hilarious situations by taking jibes on the system. The audience will get to see many such hilarious scenes in the film.

The music of the film is composed by Shailendra Barve and the lyrics are penned by Rajesh Deshpande. Sujit Kumar and Rajesh Bidve had done the choreographed the dance sequences in the film. Ace Cinematographer Sanjay Jadhav who is noted for his signature style has handled the cinematography. The film is presented by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures who had earlier presented successful films like the first 3D Marathi film  Zapatlela 2 and 72 Miles Ek Pravas. Vidhyadhar Pathare’s Iris Production which has earlier produced Kumari Gangubai Non Matric, Agnishikha and many other popular Television soaps has produced the film. Kumari Gangubai Non Matricwill be released in all over Maharashtra on September 27^th.

गंगुबाई आणि छु ची धमाल आता मोठ्या पडद्यावर

छोट्या पडद्यावरील मालिका आणि रंगभूमीवरील नाटक अशा माध्यमातून प्रेक्षकांना खळखळून हसवणारीआणि सोबत सामाजिक भानही जपणारी गंगुबाई आणि छु या जोडगोळीची धमाल आता मोठ्या पडद्यावर बघायला मिळणार आहे.

छोट्या पडद्यावरील मालिका आणि रंगभूमीवरील नाटक अशा माध्यमातून प्रेक्षकांना खळखळून हसवणारीआणि सोबत सामाजिक भानही जपणारी गंगुबाई आणि छु या जोडगोळीची धमाल आता मोठ्या पडद्यावरबघायला मिळणार आहे. ‘कुमारी गंगुबाई नॉन मॅट्रिक‘ याच नावाने येणाऱ्या या चित्रपटात निर्मिती सावंतआणि पंढरीनाथ कांबळे सोबत नागेश भोसले आणि आनंद इंगळे यांच्या अभिनयाचीही विनोदी जुगलबंदीबघायला मिळणार आहे. विद्याधर पाठारे यांच्या ‘आयरिस प्रोडक्शन’ची निर्मिती असलेल्या या चित्रपटाचीप्रस्तुती ‘व्हायकॉम १८’ ची असणार आहे. मालिका आणि नाटकाप्रमाणे या चित्रपटाची कथा-पटकथा-संवाद -दिग्दर्शन राजेश देशपांडे यांचं असणार आहे. २७ सप्टेंबर पासून हा चित्रपट प्रेक्षकांच्या भेटीस येत आहे.

साधारण १० वर्षापूर्वी छोट्या पडद्यावर गंगुबाई आणि छु ची जोडी अवतरली होती. आपल्या आजूबाजूच्यालोकांना येणाऱ्या अडचणी गंगुबाई आपल्या स्टाईलने सोडवायची आणि या कामात छु तिला साथ द्यायचा.तिच्या या कामगिरीमुळे गंगुबाईने लहानापासून मोठ्यापर्यंत सर्वाना आपलं केलं होतं . साप्ताहिक मालिकेतजास्तीत-जास्त भागांचा विक्रमही गंगुबाई ने आपल्या नावावर नोंदवला होता त्यानंतर याच मुख्य पात्रांना घेऊनआलेल्या नाटकालाही प्रेक्षकांनी भरभरून प्रतिसाद दिला होता . या दोन्ही माध्यमात लोकप्रियतामिळवल्यानंतर आता ही जोडी चित्रपटाच्या मोठ्या पडद्यावर अवतरणार आहे. एखादी कलाकृती मुख्य कलाकारकायम ठेऊन एकाच निर्मात्या आणि दिग्दर्शका कडून तीनही माध्यमात सादर करण्याचा एक आगळा-वेगळाविक्रमही गंगुबाईच्या टीम ने नोंदवला आहे हे विशेष. मालिका आणि नाटकामध्ये सामाजिक समस्या सोडवतत्यावर चिमटे काढत भाष्य करण्याचं काम गंगुबाई ने केलं आहे. आता चित्रपटात गंगुबाई सामाजिक प्रश्नसोडवणार आहे ते थेट राजकारण्याच्या माध्यमातून. आपल्या लोकांच्या समस्या सोडवण्यासाठी गंगुबाईनिवडणुकीच्या मैदानात उतरणार आहे. सामाजिक आणि राजकीय प्रश्नांची जाण आणि त्यावर मार्मिक पद्धतीनेकोट्या करत चिमटे काढणे यात लेखक दिग्दर्शक राजेश देशपांडे यांचा हातखंडा आहे आणि असेच विनोदी प्रसंग या चित्रपटात प्रेक्षकांना बघायला मिळणार आहेत.
