The new program will be hosted by the lover boy of Marathi industry- Swwapnil Joshi. On 24 July, at 9:00 pm the first question will be asked on Colors Marathi as a start of the participation for the contestants.

Swwapnil has started his career from the small television where he has done unforgettable roles like Krishna in mythological series. However, this will be a first experience for him as a host of a reality quiz show host. Swwapnil seems pretty excited about this new venture. As the news was spread on the social media, many of his friends and colleagues from the industry have shared the news and wishing him luck for his return to the small screen.

The format of the program became a classic with the hosting of Amitabh Bachchan for Hindi version with highest TRP. Since then, the format has been revised for many Indian languages and has been always a favourite for the audience. Many of the readers will remember that, the Marathi version of this show was hosted by Sachin Khedekar few years back.

ETV Marathi popular channel has announced the launch of ‘Kon Hoeel Marathi Crorepati’, a Marathi version of the hugely successful game show ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’, best known in India as ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’.

Already exploited by Star India for its South Indian regional channels, KBC will now move to ETV Marathi.ETV Marathi has got the production and broadcast rights from format owner Sony Pictures Television and has partnered with Big Synergy to produce it on a “never-before-seen scale of participation and grandeur for Marathi viewers”.

Kon Hoeel Marathi Crorepati, set to go on air in summer 2013, is dedicated to the Marathi viewers who are educated and up-to-date on the latest happenings in India and the world. The show draws inspiration from Kaun Banega Crorepati and stands for power of knowledge and education.
