Daler Mehndi, King of Indi-Pop has surprised his fans again and this time with a Marathi Devotional Song. The video of ‘Morya Morya’ the song from an upcoming Marathi movie Janiva is out now. The song is a tribute to the Lord Ganesha and Daler Mahndi’s powerful voice perfectly complements the music. This high energy number captures the essence of the Ganesha Festival and is perfect for the upcoming season.

Daler Mehndi was extremely excited to record his first Marathi track. “This is my first Marathi song and I am really looking forward to see the reactions of my fans. There is nothing more exciting than singing a song dedicated to our Lord Ganesha,” adds Daler who is a very big believer in God.

Janiva’s producer Srman Jain met Daler Mehndi on the sets of a TV show and decided to rope him in for the song. He complimented Daler by calling him an amazing singer and added that the singer’s strong voice is apt for the song. After recording his first Marathi song, Dalerji tweeted, “It was an absolute fun recording Marathi Song for the first time, I am sure the song is going to rule charts.”

‘Morya Morya’ has been composed by Harshwardhan Dixit and penned by Mangesh Kangane. ‘Janiva’ has been directed by Rajesh Ranshingee and produced by Blueeye Productions & Aryana Productions.

The shoot was for the Ganpati song of the Marathi movie “JANIVA” was in full swing at Thakur Complex on saturday where the place was filled up with the buzz of the song “Ganpati Bappa Mourya…. Mourya re Mourya ……” Sung by Daler Mehndi along with the nashik dhol and Saffron turban (Safa as said in marathi) at the full display on the sets.

Traditionally attired Mahesh Manjrekar arrived at the location on time and was seen in high spirits shooting with his son Satya Manjrekar who is playing the lead role of the young protagonist in the movie.

In the chilling heat the saffron colored atmosphere, beats of nashik dhol in the background with a huge Ganeshji idol it seemed like we are in the middle of Ganpati Festival.

Young Satya MAnjrekar was seen enthusiastically participating with his team of young brigade enjoying the beats of the Ganpati song. Producer/ director Rajesh Ranshinge while speaking to press said, “This song is sung by Daler Mehndi who sang in Marathi for the first time and is very important part of the film and creates a big impact in the script,”

Actors Atul Pachure, Indira Krishnan, Kiran Karmarkar, Tv actor Srman Jain will also be seen in the son sequence.

“JANIVA” is a youth centric Marathi movie with a strong social message starring Satya Manjrekar and his new comer co-stars Vaibhavi Sandilya, Anuradha Mukharjee, Devdutt Dani and Sanket Agarwal in the lead along with established actors like Renuka Shahane, Kiran Karmarkar,Indira Krishnan,Salil Ankola, Atul Parchure, Kishore Kadam and Usha Nadkarni. “JANIVA” is produced under the banner of Blue Eye productions and Arvana Productions and produced by Milind Vishnu, Rajesh Ranshinge, Reshma Vishnu and TV actor Srman Jain.

Compelling, profound and complex, “JANIVA” is a contemporary story of a teenager Sameer Deshpande played by Satya Manjrekar who is progressive-thinking, creative, tech-savvy, yet socially responsible and also upholds age-old values like honesty, integrity and uprightness. This bunch of five enthusiasts owns a rock band through which they spread social awareness by new lingo songs which help them in raising funds for different social causes. They also make sure that the fund raised by them reaches the right people without any corrupt interference. Along with the thrill and adventure which is inbuilt in these five acquaintances, the film also focuses on platonic love angle between Sameer and his female friend.
