Many a times commercial films and festival films are clearly different from each other. But sometimes certain films makes the transition from one side to the other. Some films that have been awarded at different film festivals and have won other important awards also release theatrically for the general audiences.

‘Copy‘ an upcoming Marathi film belongs to this category! ‘Copy’ seems to focus on the adolescent age when kids are trying to take education very seriously. Especially for kids in the rural villages education is the only means of bettering their life and fulfilling their dreams!

While such stories are not new in Marathi cinema ‘Copy’ stands out for it’s treatment. Technically the film looks on par with international standards of cinema. The teenage actors too seem to avoiding the usual over the top acting done by teen actors in our films. Let’s hope the audiences like the film when it releases in theatres all over Maharashtra on 1st of November.

Recently the first shooting schedule was completed for the upcoming “Copy” at Pen area. The film is directed by Hemant Dhabade and Dayasagar Wankhede.

The film stars Milind Shinde, Kamlesh Sawant, Anshuman Vichare, Jagannath Nivangune, Vipul Salunkhe, Anil Nagarkar, Rahul Belapurkar, Ashutosh Wadkar, Poonam Rane, Saurabh Sutar, Praveen Kapade, Ravi Virkar, Shraddha Sawant, Adanesh Mudshingkar, Pratik Lad, Rohit Sonawane, Pratiksha Sable, Shivaji Patne, Sikandar Mulani, Arati Pathak and Vidya Bhagwat.

The film is produced by Ganesh Patil and Shankar Mhatre under the banners of Shri Mahalaxmi Creations. The story and screenplay has been written by Rahul Salve along with the director duo. Dayasagar has written the dialogues. Art direction is done by Sandeep Kunchi korave and Santanio Tesio has done the cinematography for this film.

The next schedule of this film will be arranged very soon on various locations. The film is expected to release by this year end.
