Pradeep Dalvi directed “Dome” a realistic film depicting life of a neglected community will be releasing on October 9. Traditionally, Dom community stays in the smashan – crematorium and performs last rites of the deceased. The community has been neglected by the societies for the past many centuries and does not allow them to mingle with other society members due to the horrific nature of their work. The community is always poor, illiterate and away from the daytoday lives of a village.

The film showcases hurdles and obstacles aced by such couple Dhondiba and Dagda. The film stars Dr. Vilaj Ujawane, Anjali Ujawane, Mohan Joshi in the lead roles. Other cast includes R L Tambe, Pradeep Dalvi, Anita Naik, Jyoti Nisal, Deepjyoti Naik, Sanjay Shejwal, Avinash Jadhav, Deepti Dhotre, Mayuri Kapdne, Megha Ghatge, Kanchan Kulkumbe, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Predeep Patwardhan, Padmakar Athavale, Dashrath Hatiskar, Sunil Godbole, Sachin Sant, Teertha Nimbalkar, Shruti Pol et al.

The lavani has been sung by Vaishali Samant and music is by Amit Raj. The choreography for this lavani has been done by famous choreographers Chinni Prakash and Rekha Prakash.

The film deals with the subject of power and money, the lavani is one of the crucial plot points of the film. Jeet- a film about social changes will have a thrilling cycle race as a major sequence of the film. The race was picturised at Bhandara Ghat between Bhushan Pradhan and Sachin Danai along with the state level cycle-racers. The film is produced by Preetpal Singh Shergil and directed by Sagar Chavan.

Shooting of the race was very difficult as ghat roads are narrow and have hairpin bends. As real cycle race was also in progress crew struggled to get their shots canned in the heavy rains. DOP Manoj Shaw had to complete this shoot at one go as cycle racers would not have stopped for anybody. Shaw said, “As roads were very dangerous and there is a deep valley on the ghat roads we had to take all kind of precautions. Maintaining speed of the cycle in these raods is not an easy job. The entire experience was very enjoyable and lerning.”
The next part of this race will be shot at Balewadi stadium in Pune.

The story of this film has been written by Majushree Gokhale, screenplay by Sagar Chavan. The film also stars Sayaji Shinde, Trishala Shaha, Sharad Ponkshe, Manoj Joshi, Vilas Ujawane, Anjali Ujawane, and Varun Gulati.

Music launch of “Olakh My Identity” starring Alka Kubal athalye was released recently. The film is directed by Jameel Khan and produced by Harshadeep Sasan. The music for this film has been given by Rajesh, Kamal and Pranay Pradhan.

The album contains various songs including a Sufi-style Hindi song “Piya Mora Jab Se” sung by Mohammad Irfan. Adarsh Shinde has sung “Vitthala” a folk song. Interestingly, the film has one Tandav song as well. The film stars Bhushan Patil, Alka Kubal Athalye and Khushboo Tawde.

The film releases on 31 July all over Maharashtra.

In a shocking incident, she was mobbed by these spectators and director Jameel Khan wished to call police. The situation returned to normalcy after Alka requested her fans for cooperation. She said, “I am here today because of your love. But please co-operate as shooting should not be stopped.” After this in next few minutes everybody just moved after their favorite actress’ request and shoot began again.
