Synopsis : In the backdrop of one of India’s biggest environmental hazards that is quickly turning once fertile farmlands into arid wasteland, where suicide is evolving into a widely accepted cultural norm, as debt ridden and famine stricken farmers routinely kill themselves, two eight-year-old children try to make sense of life, death and disease as they try to save their precious fish. When a deconstruction of an article of faith coincides with yet another suicide in the village, Chaani and Balu are left trying to sift logic out of belief, fact out of fable.

Landmarc Films known for Vazandar, State award-winning Redu, National award-winning Ringan, Gachchi amongst others, is all set to release their next ‘Pipsi’ on 27^th July 2018. The film’s poster was recently launched across all social networking sites. We see two protagonists, a young girl and a young boy on the poster which makes it very endearing for all, especially children.

Produced and presented by Vidhi Kasliwal’s Landmarc Films, Pipsi has a rural backdrop and the poster depicts that it is about the unwavering friendship of two little kids, which triumphs against all odds. The film stars two kid marvels Maithili Patwardhan and Sahil Joshi in the lead. The audiences have already got a taste of their chemistry in the teaser released recently. Maithili Patwardhan went on to win Best child actor at the recently concluded 55^th Maharashtra State Awards.

Written by Saurabh Bhave and Directed by Rohan Deshpande, the film has a well documented and researched storyline and has made a mark for itself in various national and international film festivals. Pipsi was selected at NITTE International Film Festival (NIFF) 2018 and the 58^th ZLIN International Film Festival earlier this year. It has also been included in the upcoming Busan International Film Festival. Closer back home, it was the only Indian film to be selected in the Half Ticket section of MAMI last year. It was also screened at the Smile International Film Festival for Children and Youth 2017, in Delhi.

Aditya  Paithankar  starred Gopya’s music launch was done recently in Mumbai. “Ganesh Film & Entertainment” Presentation “Gopya” is a predominantly musical film and it is slated for release all over Maharashtra on April 21. The film is directed by Raj Paithankar.

On the occasion, present were the singers, music director and the director of the film. Kiran-Raj has composed the songs and lyrics are by Raj Paithankar. Kiran has sung “Taana Na Taana Na…” and “Tu Tujhya Jeevanacha Shilpakar…” while Neha Rajpal has sung “Kaay Asa Kela Mee Gunaha…” Master Rohit Wagh has crooned the number “Aapli Khod Kuni Kaadaichi Nahi…”

Besides Aditya  Paithankar who has played  the title role, the film also stars Madhavi  Juvekar, Kamlesh Sawant, Manisha Paithankar, Uday Sabnis, Jaywant Wadkar, Ajay Jadhav, Sameer Vijayan, Rajesh Bhosle, Prakash Dhotre, Amir Tadwalkar, Manasi Murudkar and Ajit Jadhav.

The film is produced by Amol Bhalerao, Nitin Pagare and Raj Paithankar and co-produced by Sarjerao Mote, Atulraje Gayali and Dhanaji Gaikwad and Subhash Jagadhne.  

Raj Paithankar who has dabbled in direction as well as lyrics has also written the subject. Yogesh Sabnis has written the screenplay and the dialogues.  Cinematography is by Aniket K while Art Direction is by Devdatt Raut and Nandu Moharkar. Atul Salve is the production executive while Chinni Chetan is the choreographer. Sonu Paitankar has designed the sound for the film while Vishal Kotkar has edited the film.
