Vikram Bhatt’s ASA Productions & Enterprises has successfully completed about a dozen Hindi films and now it’s all set to enter Marathi Cinema. The first movie from the production house will be titles ‘Ek Doosrey Ke Liye’ and will be directed by Ashwini Kumar Patil. The star cast consists of Amruta Khanvilkar, Abhijit Khandekar and Aniket Vishvasrao. The film is expected to hit the floors in August and will be released by the end of 2013.
Says Bhatt, “A production house needs to diversify and look for other avenues to make revenue. Earlier, it was only the South film industry that came up with quality content. But today, films made in other languages also boast of good stories and talented actors. I have watched some Marathi and Punjabi films and they have been good. There is an audience for these films.” But why is the title of the film in Hindi? Bhatt says, “It’s the director’s call. As long as the film is made within the budget, it does not matter to me.”
Adds ASA’s Director, Anju Bisnoi, “Our target is to make at least four films a year”.
