At the glittering event Sridevi said, ” I have a close bond with Maharashtra and the story of ‘Aga Bai Arechyaa 2‘ is a simple and sensitive story and and the music composed by newcomer Nishad is really wonderful and I am sure we will meet again at the silver jubilee of the music”.”In the film the character of Shubhangi in the film resembles Sridevi’s character of Shashi from the film ‘English Vinglish’ and hence I thought she would be an apt choice for the release of my film and the music composed by my find Nishad is really wonderful and I am sure we will meet again at the silver jubilee of the music and the film” says directorand co-producer Kedar Shinde.
The music launch was graced by stars, peppy music and whistles and claps and the grand presence of superstar Sridevi though the music was released in a grand function, it had a personal touch to it which was experienced by everyone present.
The film releases on MAY 22 and is a story about how touch, one of the five sensations in human beings can express love but and speak louder than words but if the sensation of touch happens to be a curse to someone how can it effect his love life? This story of love without touch flowers and is the story of the film and is narrated in a humorous and sensitive way along with grand music by debutant producer Nishad which repeats the debut of music composers in the first franchise, namely Ajay-Atul.
There are five songs in the film namely, ‘Jagnyache Bhan Aahe’ penned by Ashwini Shende and sung by Shankar Mahadevan, and choreographed by Rahul-Paul, ‘Full Too Fataki Baaya Go’ penned by Mangesh Datt and sung by Adarsh Shinde and choreographed by Umesh Jadhav, ‘Dil Mera‘ also penned by Mangesh Dutt and sung by Vaishali Samant , ‘Ek Porgi’ written by Manohar Golambare and also sung by him, and ‘Majha Dev Kunhi Pahila’ written by Mangesh Dutt and sung by Golambare and Kedar Shinde has choreographed the song. The music label is Video Palace. Singer and Lyricist Manohar Golambare reminisced about the life and times of Shahir Sable and recounted his anecdotes about the great singer and songs sung on the accompaniment of dholki had the audience enthralled. It may also be noted that debutant music composer is the son of Manohar Golambare.
Kedar Shinde further added, ” I waited 11 years for making a sequel to AGABAI ARRECHYA’ since it was an iconic film and we were in the search for the right story which would also draw the oft repeated exclamation ‘Aga Bai Areechya’ and be one up on the original and Ihad met Dileep Prabhavalkar while making the TV Show ‘Shriyut Gangadhar Tipre’ and he narrated this story he had to me and Omkar Datt penned the draft of thestory and the film was on and thanksto Dileep Prabhavalkar the film is being made. I wouldn’t like to disclose much about the story of the film and we have made the film with great passion and I hope the audiencelikes the film as much as Agabai Arrechya’.
Dilip Prabhavalkar said ” During Gangadhar Tipre, all he had was a few jottings anddiary items bit it goes to the cxredit of Kedar that he made it into a successful show and now even in this film he just had the thread of the story which was evolved by Kedar in the second halfand he has done a wonderful job”.
Actor Sonali Kulkarni said, ” I was thrilled when Kedar offered me this part because I had liked Agabai Arrechya and since it was a brand I was thrilled to be a part of it.
