Rama Madhav – History repeats itself.

Rama Madhav is one of the most intriguing couple of Marathi history. Their silent and mature yet unfortunate love has been portrayed in various novels, TV series and other media. The biggest hit was TV series of the last decade where Mrunal Kulkarni and Ravindra Mankani played these two characters. Interestingly, Mrunal will be directing a film based on this story, and this time she will play Gopikabai and Ravindra Mankani will play Nanasaheb Peshwe – parents of Madhavrao Peshwa. The chemistry between these two actors will be a highlight of this movie.

Mankani has played almost all the characters from Peshwa history, sans Nanasaheb Peshwa, now even that is done. Mankani commented that Mrunal is as matured as a director as being an actress.
