Akhil Bharateey Marathi Chitrapat Mahamahandal announces initiatives

Akhil Bharateey Marathi Chitrapat Mahamahandal has announced various initiatives including workshops and seminars for Marathi cinema. Vijay Patkar, the chairman of the Mahamandal announced these in a press conference at P L Deshpande Kala Akademi in Mumbai

Patkar said that Mahamandal will be initiating film distribution with Nitin Datar, also fourth My Mumbai Short Film Festival will be organised. Various workshops like Art workshop with Vidya Patwardhan, Dance workshop with Deepali Vichare have been announced.

Additionally, as a social responsibility, Mahamandal will be adopting a village for betterment of the society. Adivasi villages in Palghar district will be adopted and school stationary supplies, nutritional food will be distributed amon the adivasis.

Vijay Patkar also added that, “There is a strict procedure to enter in international film festivals, but many film makers are unaware of it. We have taken an initiative with veteran theatre personality Neelkanti Patekar for this. We have also started a mobile app to download Marathi movies legally. “

We really hope that Marathi cinema and its makers will truly have some tremendous help with these workshops and initiatives.
