Today on the World AIDS Day 1st December, President of Bhiwandi Loksabha Youth Congress Mr. Brijkishore Dutt organised AIDS Awareness campaign Walkthon 2012 in Kalyan city. The third year of this awareness campaign flagged off by Marathi Celebrity Actress, performer Ms. Manasi Naik. The walkathon rally started from Shivaji Chowk, Kalyan West at 9:30am.
Participating in the campaign with active presence on the street to show the support to the rally Kalyan city residents were in huge numbers. The rally received massive participation from school kids, College students and Senior Citizens. The rally was concluded at the Maxi Ground. As a token of successful rally Mr. Brijkishore Dutt and Guest of Honour Ms. Manasi Naik addressed to the masses and also shared their views. Mr. Brijkishore Dutt shared his thought behind organising the rally, he said “Today’s youth is advanced and focused they should participate in such important cause and must spread the awareness across all the mediums available” He also quoted, “Do not discriminate even when it comes to AIDS affected” while sharing his thoughts Mr. Brijkishore Dutt also pointed the education system as the lack of provision in education about HIV, AIDS awareness among today’s youth.
Actress Manasi Naik added, “We are facing this problem of HIV AIDS, we must fight against it together. We must help each other to spread the awareness and treat the affected people normally. Every individual has the right to be human.
The campaign which was attended by Kalyan citizens was also attended by Congress corporators. The event was supported by Gandhi Vichar Manch and executed by Newsmax Multimedia Private Limited.
